Fixing the Number of Members to be Elected for Each Ward of the Te Awamutu Rabbit District (Notice No. Ag. 7943)
Pursuant to section 25A of the Rabbits Act 1955, the Te Awamutu Rabbit Board hereby declares that the number of members to be elected for each ward of the Te Awamutu Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 9th day of August 1961,* shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of the ward.

Law Practitioners Act 1955
Pursuant to the Law Practitioners Act 1955, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society, on the 21st day of February 1964, ordered that Kenneth Alistair Bryan, of Wellington, barrister and solicitor, be suspended from practice as a barrister or solicitor for a period of three years from 21 February 1964; and that he pay the sum of £100 costs to the New Zealand Law Society.

The Indecent Publications Tribunal, having considered the application by the Secretary for Justice in respect of the book Another Country by James Baldwin, has decided that the said book is not indecent under either subsection (a) or subsection (b) of section 10 of the Indecent Publications Act 1963.

SPECIAL ORDER
The Oroua County Council hereby confirms the resolution by way of special order, passed at a special meeting held on 12 February 1964, that, pursuant to the provisions of section 109 of the Counties Act 1956, the Council declares that section 107 of the said Counties Act, providing for the levying of general rates separately in each riding, shall cease to apply as from the 1st day of April 1964.

Varying Notice of Declaration of State Highways
Pursuant to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice that it varies the notice declaring highways to be State highways, dated 9 March 1960, published in the Gazette, 24 March 1960, Vol. I, No. 20, page 384, by deleting from Part II of the Schedule to the said notice the paragraph described in the First Schedule hereto and submitting therefor the paragraphs set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH deleted from the North Island section of Part II of the Schedule to the said notice:
Napier—
No. 2 State Highway. From the western boundary of Napier City along Hyderabad Road, Thackeray Street, Munroe Street, Hastings Street, and Marine Parade to the south-eastern boundary of the city at Ellison Street.
No. 50 State Highway. From the north-eastern boundary of Napier City at Alpers Terrace, along Taradale Road to the south-eastern boundary of the city approximately 12 chains south-west of the Meeanee drain.
SECOND SCHEDULE
PARAGRAPH substituted in the North Island section of Part II of the Schedule to the said notice:
Napier—
No. 2 State Highway. From the Western Boundary of Napier City along Meeanee Quay over the Westshore Bridge along Pandora Road, Hyderabad Road, Thackeray Street, Munroe Street, Hastings Street, Warren Street, and Marine Parade to the south-eastern boundary of the city at Ellison Street.
No. 50 State Highway. Commencing in Napier City at the junction of Hyderabad Road and Taradale Road on No. 2 State Highway along Taradale Road to the south-western boundary of the city.

Return of Spirits Distilled in New Zealand
Pursuant to section 99 of the Distillation Act 1908, I hereby publish the following information concerning spirits distilled in New Zealand:
(a) Number of imperial gallons of spirits at the strength of proof distilled in New Zealand received into bonded warehouses during the year ended 31 December 1963=444,737·2.
(b) Number of imperial gallons of such spirits at the strength of proof cleared and taken out of such warehouses for home consumption=352,001·0.
(c) Number of imperial gallons of such spirits at the strength of proof cleared and taken out of such warehouses for exportation=962·9.
(d) Number of imperial gallons of such spirits at the strength of proof remaining in such warehouses on the 31st day of December 1963=131,022·5.
