PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Peninsula Rabbit District Order 1964.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1964.

  1. The boundaries of the Peninsula Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 2nd day of June 1959,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE PENINSULA RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area situate in the Otago Land District containing 25,450 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the mean high-water mark on the south-eastern shore of the Otago Harbour in line with the south-western side of Scobie Road adjoining Block IV, Andersons Bay Survey District, and proceeding generally north-easterly along the mean high-water mark of the Otago Harbour to Taiaroa Head; thence generally southerly and westerly along the mean high-water mark of the ocean to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 27, Block VII, Otago Peninsula Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along that north-eastern boundary to Tahuna Road; thence generally easterly along the southern sides of Tahuna Road and Tomahawk Road to the western shore of the outlet to Tomahawk Lagoon; thence generally northerly along the western shore of that outlet and the western shore of Tomahawk Lagoon to the south-western side of Darnell Street; thence north-westerly along that side of that street to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 4, Block VII, Andersons Bay Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along that north-western boundary of that section to its northernmost corner; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along a right line parallel to and distant 250 links from the north-eastern and south-eastern sides of Highcliff Road and the production of the last-mentioned side to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6499; thence north-easterly along that south-eastern boundary and its production to the southernmost corner of Lot 10, D.P. 6499; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of that Lot 10 and its production to the easternmost corner of Lot 15, D.P. 6499; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of that Lot 15, aforesaid, and its production to the north-western side of Highcliff Road; thence north-easterly along the north-western sides of that road to the easternmost corner of Section 5, Block VIII, Andersons Bay Survey District; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of that Section 5, Lot 20, D.P. 9837, and Lot 11, D.P. 8121, to the southernmost corner of Section 1261R, Upper Harbour East Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line to a point on the north-western boundary of Section 12, Block VIII, Andersons Bay Survey District, distant 1400 links from its westernmost corner; thence north-westerly along a right line to a point on the south-eastern boundary of Lot 10, D.P. 4717, distant 250 links north-eastward from the north-eastern side of Doon Street; thence north-westerly along a right line to the westernmost corner of the land shown on D.P. 6744; thence south-westerly along a right line to the easternmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 1863; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of that lot and its production to the south-western side of Scobie Road; thence north-westerly along the south-western side of that road and its production to the point of commencement.
