Boundaries of Borough of Northcote Defined

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Northcote, the previous boundaries having been altered by section 32 of the Local Legislation Act 1960.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing 1,196 acres more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the northernmost corner of part Lot 4, Deeds Plan 782, in Block XII, Waitemata Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of the said lot and Lot 6, D.P. 39353, to the north-western side of Northcote Road; thence along a right line, crossing the said road to the westernmost corner of Lot 91, D.P. 21894; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the said lot to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 57, D.P. 21894; thence along a right line to and along the said boundary to and down the middle of a stream to the mean high-water mark of Shoal Bay; thence southerly generally along the shores of the said bay to the intersection of the southern boundary of part Allotment 20, Takapuna Parish and a right line shown on S.O. Plan 42383; thence westerly along that line 275°00′, 445 links, and southerly along another right line 173°15′40″, 406·87 links, to the north-eastern corner of that part of Lake Road which intersects Allotment 15, Takapuna Parish; thence southerly and westerly generally along the shores of Shoal Bay and Little Shoal Bay to the south-western corner of part Allotment 55, Takapuna Parish, shown on C.T. 561/177; thence northerly along the western boundary of the said Allotment and that boundary produced to the northern side of Onewa Road; thence westerly along that roadside and northerly along the eastern side of Kauri Glen Road to the south-western corner of part Allotment 8, Takapuna Parish (Kauri Glen Scenic Reserve, Gazette 1907, page 1993); thence easterly along the southern boundary of the said Allotment, Allotment 345 (Recreation Reserve, Gazette 1956, page 1190), again part Allotment 8, and northerly along the eastern boundary of that Allotment, Lot 4, D.P. 45617 (Recreation Reserve), Lot 1, D.P. 45617, and Lots 1 and 3, D.P. 41871, to the southern side of Pupuke Road; thence along a right line crossing the said road to the southernmost corner of part Allotment 96, as shown on C.T. 566/287; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said Allotment and Lot 1, D.P. 37456, and north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of the said lot, Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 37456, part Lot 1, D.P. 46766, part Allotment 95, part Lot 1, Deeds Plan 782, Lot 1, D.P. 18327, a right line crossing Hillcrest Road to and along the north-western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 48079, and part Lot 4, Deeds Plan 782 to the point of commencement.

Releasing Land From the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Okapu Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 21 March 1962, published in the Gazette, 29 March 1962, Volume I, page 526, and registered as No. S. 231981.

Releasing Land From the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Tauranga Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 23 November 1937, published in the Gazette, 25 November 1937, Volume III, page 2592, and registered as No. K. 21119.
