Special Order Made by the Cambridge Borough Council
Abolishing Wards
PURSUANT to section 24 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by the Cambridge Borough Council.
Dated at Wellington this 20th day of February 1964.

SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by subsection 1 of section 23 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Cambridge Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order that on and after the day fixed for the next triennial general election of the council, the subdivision of the borough into two wards, namely Cambridge Ward and Leamington Ward, shall be abolished, and the number of Councillors for the undivided borough be fixed at 11.
I hereby certify that:
(a) The foregoing is a true and correct extract from the minutes of a special meeting of the Cambridge Borough Council held on 18 December 1963 and of which due notice was given.
(b) The purport of the foregoing resolution was publicly advertised in the Waikato Independent newspaper on 10 and 24 January 1964.
(c) The resolutions were duly confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Cambridge Borough Council held on 29 January 1964.
