THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
No. 1
City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four hundred and seventeen thousandths of a penny (0·417d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate, made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A, of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 20 years, or until such time as the loan is paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on 13 January 1964.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Taita Library Loan 1963, £18,500
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eighteen thousand five hundred pounds (£18,500) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a branch library at Taita, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and ninety-six thousandths of a penny (0·196d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate, made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until such time as the loan is paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Myrtle Street Extension Loan 1963, £55,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of fifty-five thousand pounds (£55,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing an extension to Myrtle Street and acquiring property for that purpose, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three hundred and thirty thousandths of a penny (0·330d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be incorporated and added to the consolidated special rate, made pursuant to the provisions of section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years, or until such time as the loan is paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Pensioners Flats Loan (No. 1) 1963, £5,700
“THAT, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £5,700 authorised to be raised by the Gore Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act, the said Gore Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four one eight pence (·0418d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Gore; and the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the last days of January and July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Auckland City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act to execute a certain public work, namely, street development, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for street purposes; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk at the Town Hall, Auckland, and it is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such land who have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Auckland.

All that piece of land being part Allotment 3, Section 37, City of Auckland, and being the whole of the land in certificate of title, Volume 1D, folio 1239, Auckland Registry.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
Notice is hereby given, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, that the Whangarei County Council proposes, under the provisions of the said Act, to take the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto for road.
Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the pieces of land required to be taken is deposited in the office of the said Council, situated in Rose Street, Whangarei, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the taking of such land who have any well grounded objections to the taking of the said land must lodge their objections in writing and send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the County Clerk, Whangarei County Council, Rose Street, Whangarei.

In the matter of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the Marlborough Electric Power Board, being a Board duly constituted under the provisions of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the erection and maintenance of a substation; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Board situate in Alfred Street, Blenheim, and is open for inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours.
