ORDER

This order may be cited as the Hawke's Bay Savings Bank Order 1962, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Hawke's Bay Savings Bank Order 1962* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

The principal order is hereby amended by revoking clause 11, and substituting the following clause:
"11. Investments—Notwithstanding anything in section 24 of the Act, but subject to subsection (4A) thereof, the Bank may invest any money deposited in or belonging to the Bank in the following manner only:
"(a) Where the total amount of such money (excluding money deposited in investment accounts) does not exceed £1,000,000, not less than 90 per cent thereof shall be invested in New Zealand Government securities;
"(b) Where the total amount of such last-described money exceeds £1,000,000, not less than £900,000 thereof together with not less than 50 per cent of so much thereof as exceeds £1,000,000 shall be invested in New Zealand Government securities;
"(c) Any amount not so invested in New Zealand Government securities (excluding the amount required by section 24 (3) of the Act to be kept immediately available) may be invested in any of the ways specified in section 24 (1) of the Act."

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to Edward Lyndon Peter, of Kaikoura, and John Lyndon Peter, of Blenheim, both farmers, by Ian Hugh Cameron, of Greytown, Wairarapa, of his rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 15th day of May 1951 and published in the Gazette on the 17th day of the same month at page 672 and amended by an Order in Council dated the 29th day of August 1956 and published in the Gazette on the 30th day of the same month at page 1183.

Fixing Amounts to be Paid by Uniting Local Authorities to the Fire Board of Palmerston North United Urban Fire District

PURSUANT to the Fire Services Act 1949, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- The amounts to be paid by the uniting local authorities to the Fire Board of the Palmerston North United Urban Fire District, pursuant to section 53 of the Fire Services Act 1949, shall be in the following proportions:
Palmerston North City Council ... 92 per cent Kairanga County Council ... 5 per cent Oroua County Council ... 3 per cent

Subject to clause 3 of this order the annual contribution of the Kairanga County Council shall be limited to £800 and the annual contribution of the Oroua County Council shall be limited to £480: Provided that the maximum annual contributions of both the said Kairanga County Council and the Oroua County Council as fixed by this clause may respectively be increased by amounts not exceeding 10 per cent thereof.

Notwithstanding anything contained in clause 2 of this order, any sum required to meet increases in the annual expenditure on salaries and wages shall be paid by the aforesaid three local authorities in the respective percentages fixed by clause 1.

This order shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1969.

The Order in Council made on the 3rd day of October 1962 fixing the amounts to be paid by the uniting local authorities to the Fire Board of Palmerston North United Urban Fire District and published in Gazette, 4 October 1962, No. 61, page 1614, is hereby revoked.

Revoking Licence Authorising Cowes Development Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land Below Low-water Mark in Cowes Bay as a Site for a Wharf

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950 and to regulation 13 of the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960 (Serial No. 1960/32), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes the licence granted, on the 4th day of August 1954,* to Cowes Development Ltd. (usually known as Cowes Bay Development Ltd.) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark in Cowes Bay, Waiheke Island, as shown on plan marked M.D. 2198 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining a wharf thereon as shown on the said plan.

PURSUANT to section 175 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Nelson Harbour Board to reclaim from the sea in Nelson Harbour at Mapua, 38 perches of land, more or less, as shown edged in pink on plan marked M.D. 11611 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington.

PURSUANT to section 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby grants to the Whangarei Harbour Board (hereinafter called the Board) control of part of the foreshore as described in the First Schedule hereto, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto.
