Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the
Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Kaipara Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date of the
publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described
in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the
provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the
said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 9 June
1930 and published in the Gazette, 19 June 1930, Volume II,
page 1983.

Election of Growers' Representatives to the Tobacco Board
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Tobacco Growing Industry
Act 1935, the Tobacco Growing Industry Amendment Act
1951, and the Tobacco Board Election Regulations 1952*,
regulation 14, I hereby give public notice that there being
only two nominations, I declare Stephen James Emerre and
John Rowland Talbot to be elected to the office of growers'
representatives on the Tobacco Board and to be members of
the Board from the 25th day of September 1963.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the
Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act
1949 as permanent State forest land.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
Lot 6, D.P. 7416, Lot 4, and part Lot 5, D.P. 7417, and parts
of Lot 3, D.P. 7418, being also part Mangaone Block, part
Waimatao Block, part Poronui Block; and Sections 1 to 10
inclusive, 13, 14, and part Sections 11 and 12, Pikopiko
District, and closed road, situated in Blocks XI, XII, XV,
and XVI, Waipakura Survey District, and Blocks IX and
XIII, Mangawhero Survey District, Wanganui County: Total
area, 6,151 acres and 26·21 perches, more or less. All certificates
of title, Volume 231, folio 31; Volume 370, folio 148;
and balance certificate of title, Volume 413, folio 38.
As shown on plan No. 76/1 deposited in the Head Office
of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

Plant Declared Noxious Weed in the County of Kiwitea
(Notice No. Ag. 7844)
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and
to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under
section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the
purposes of the said section, the following Special Order
made by the Kiwitea County Council on the 19th day of
June 1963 is hereby published.
SPECIAL ORDER
PURSUANT to the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950,
the Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves and declares by
way of Special Order that the plant mentioned in the Schedule
hereto be and the same is hereby declared to be a noxious
weed in the whole of the County of Kiwitea within the
meaning of “The Noxious Weeds Act 1950”.

Plant Declared Noxious Weed in the County of Waitotara
(Notice No. Ag. 7845)
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950,
and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under
section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the
purposes of the said section, the following Special Order
made by the Waitotara County Council on the 20th day of
June 1963 is hereby published.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT pursuant to the provisions of section 3 of the Noxious
Weeds Act 1950, the Waitotara County Council hereby
resolves by way of Special Order, that the under-mentioned
plant is a noxious weed within the County of Waitotara
Inkweed (Phytolacca octandra)
and that such Special Order shall take effect from 1 October
1963.

Coast Bays (Notice No. Ag. 7848)
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and to
a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under
section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for
the purposes of the said section, the following Special Order
made by the East Coast Bays Borough Council on the 24th
day of June 1963 is hereby published.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT in pursuance of the powers conferred upon it by the
Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the East Coast Bays Borough
Council doth hereby declare the following trees and plants
referred to in the First Schedule of the afore-mentioned Act,
to be noxious weeds within the borough of East Coast Bays:
Barley Grass (Hordeum murinum).
Bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis).
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Californian thistle, Canadian thistle, or creeping thistle
(Cirsium arvense).
Crack willow (Salix fragilis).
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Hakea (Hakea Saligna, Hakea Suaveolens, Hakea pubescens and Hakea Acicularis).
Japanese wineberry (Rubus phoenicolasius).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Nassella tussock (Nassella trichotoma).
Pussy Willow (Salix discolor).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
St. John’s wort (Hypericum perforatum).
Saffron thistle (Carthamus lanatus).
Scotch thistle or plume thistle (Cirsium lanceolatum).
Silver poplar (Populus alba var. nivea).
Star thistle (Centaurea calcitrapa).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).
Thorn apple or jimson weed (Datura stramonium).

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the County of Otamatea
(Notice No. Ag. 7849)
PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 and
to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under section
9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes
of the said section, the following Special Order, made by the
Otamatea County Council on the 19th day of June 1963 is
hereby published.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, pursuant to the powers conferred upon it by section 3
(1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Otamatea County
Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order that the
noxious weeds listed in the Schedule hereto shall be declared
Noxious Weeds within the County of Otamatea. This Special
Order shall come into force and have effect as from 1
September 1963.
The Council further resolves that all previous Special
Orders declaring noxious weeds to be noxious weeds within
the county of Otamatea shall, as from the coming into force of
this Special Order, be rescinded and of no effect.
