NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

In the matter of a Private Bill intituled “An Act to amend the powers of the Presbyterian Church Property Trustees in relation to buildings and property of congregations, and to provide for the investment of the Beneficiary Fund of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand”.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Presbyterian Church Property Trustees, a body corporate constituted under the Presbyterian Church Property Act 1885 (hereinafter referred to as “the trustees”), intend to apply to the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled for leave to bring in the above-mentioned Bill, the short title of which is “The Presbyterian Church Property Amendment Act 1963”.

The objects of the Bill are:

(a) To require the consent of the Presbyteries and of congregations to certain transactions relating to the property of congregations.

(b) To empower the trustees to borrow for development and subdivision of lands held for congregations.

(c) To provide for the investment of the Beneficiary Fund of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand and to grant the trustees certain powers in relation thereto.

(d) To provide how the costs and expenses of the Bill shall be paid.

The promoter of the Bill is the said Presbyterian Church Property Trustees whose address for service of notices and communications is at the offices of its duly appointed solicitors, Messrs Macalister, Mazengarb, Parkin, and Rose, 21 Brandon Street, Wellington, where a copy of the Bill may be inspected. Printed copies of the Bill will be deposited in the Private Bill office, Parliament Buildings, Wellington, on or before the 23rd day of August 1963.

Subscriptions—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, payable in advance.

The price of each Gazette varies and is printed thereon.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)

(3) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon.
