Appointments, Promotions, Extensions of Commissions, Transfer, Termination of Commission, and Retirement of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force

Pursuant to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, promotions, extensions of commissions, transfer, termination of commission, and retirement of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

Extension of Commission

Flying Officer George Stephen Higgins (817826) is granted an extension of his commission until 3 July 1973.

Flying Officer Graeme Bernard Gilmore, GRAD. I.E.E (78653), to be Flight Lieutenant with seniority from 28 August 1961, with effect from 30 July 1963.

AIR TRAINING CORPS

Appointments

Gerard Selby Geddes is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority and effect from 6 August 1963.

Walter James Gibb is granted an Honorary Commission in the Air Training Corps in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority and effect from 24 July 1963.

Flying Officer Derek Mervyn Brebner to be temporary Flight Lieutenant while commanding the Air Training Corps Flight, Napier Boys’ High School Unit, with effect from 19 July 1963.

RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS

Appointment

Rex Charles Mangin (775051) is granted a commission in the General Duties Branch, Reserve of Air Force Officers, for a period ending 23 April 1967 in the rank of Flight Lieutenant with seniority from 24 March 1962, with effect from 24 April 1963.

Termination of Commission

The commission of Pilot Officer Arthur William Charles Read (133482) is terminated, with effect from 9 July 1963.

Retirement

Wing Commander Richard Goulden Brickell, M.I.C.E., M.N.Z.I.S., F.N.Z.I.E., F. ASCE., J.P. (131820) is retired, with effect from 31 July 1963.

Appointment of Members of Woodstock Domain Board

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints

to be members of the Woodstock Domain Board, Westland Land District, in place of James Albert O’Connor and Stanley William Thorpe, both resigned.
