RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———
Passed at an Ordinary Meeting of the Cheviot County Council on 12 July 1963

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Cheviot County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand seven hundred and fifty pounds (£25,750) authorised to be raised by the Cheviot County Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of constructing a sewage and sullage disposal system and treatment works in the Cheviot Urban Drainage Area, and meeting costs incidental thereto, the Cheviot County Council hereby makes a special rate of two shillings and one point nine pence (2s. 1·9d.) in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Cheviot Urban Drainage Area; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and shall be payable on the 1st day of September in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the special rate shall be subject in all respects to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956.”

BOROUGH OF MANUREWA

NOTICE OF MAKING OF SPECIAL RATE

Sewerage Loan 1955, Redemption Loan No. 1 1963, £9,170

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manurewa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £9,170 authorised to be raised by the Manurewa Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act and for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Sewerage Loan 1955, £208,000, which matures on 1 September 1963, the said Manurewa Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of nought decimal four six two pence (0·462d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Manurewa comprising the whole of the Borough of Manurewa; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of this loan, being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF MOUNT ALBERT

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

CERTIFIED copy of resolution making special rate as security for the Mount Albert 1963 Road Works and General Development Redemption Loan of £23,900, passed by the Mount Albert Borough Council at a meeting held on 9 July 1963.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £23,900, known as the Road Works and General Development Redemption Loan 1963 of £23,900, for the purpose of repaying on maturity that portion of the Road Works and General Development Loan 1952 of £250,000, which matures on 31 August 1963, the Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought three nought five of a penny (0·0305d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Albert; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be repayable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Given under the common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Mount Albert, this 17th day of July 1963.

COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Coromandel County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £3,000 authorised to be raised by the Coromandel County Council under the provisions of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the erection of a workers dwelling to accommodate Council’s staff, the Coromandel County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0·06d. in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the County of Coromandel; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 17th day of August in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

NORTHCOTE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES

Consolidating Special Rates

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 as enacted by section 10 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1959, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Northcote Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order that instead of levying the special rates specified in the Schedule hereto, to make a uniform consolidated special rate of four decimal five pence (4·5d.) in the pound (£) on all rateable property within the Borough of Northcote, and the same is hereby made an annually recurring rate for the purpose of paying the annual charges, plus 10 per cent thereof, payable in respect of the loans secured by those special rates. And the Northcote Borough Council hereby further resolves that the consolidated special rate shall be payable in one sum on the 7th day of August in each year at the Council Chambers, Queen Street, Northcote, to Gordon McMillan Kilham, or at such other place or to such other person for the time being authorised by the Council.

WAITARA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
———

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Waitara Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of one hundred thousand pounds (£100,000) authorised to be raised by the Waitara Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of replacing portion of the town supply main and providing a reservoir, replacing some town reticulation and providing further reticulation, hereby makes a special rate of three and one-sixth pence (3⅙d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Waitara; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Waitara Borough Council held on the 10th day of July 1963.
