Declaration That Land is a Public Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution was passed by the Invercargill City Council on the 23rd day of April 1963.

“That in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Invercargill City Council hereby resolves that the piece of land held by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the said city in fee simple and described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby declared to be a public reserve for recreation purposes within the meaning of the said Act”.

“That public notice having been given the Howick Borough Council hereby resolves, pursuant to section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, that the land described in the Schedule hereto be a Public Reserve within the meaning of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953 to be held by it for recreation purposes”.

Revocation of Reservation Over Reserves Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by the Invercargill City Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other recreation reserves under the control of the Council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for recreation reserves.
