PURSUANT to section 149 of the Public Works Act 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the Waipa County Council stopping the portions of road
described in the Schedule hereto.

and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and

shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest
in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Hamil-
ton and be under the control and management of the Hamil-
ton City Council.

Power Board

PURSUANT to section 17 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925,
I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby appoint
Desmond Ferguson Pennington, Esquire of Opotiki, farmer,
to be a representative of the Opotiki County on the Bay of
Plenty Electric Power Board.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General

Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been
pleased to approve the following appointments, extensions of
commissions, and date of retirement, and transfer of officers
of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

Appointments
The under-mentioned officers are granted permanent com-
missions in the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force,
with effect from 26 October 1962:
Squadron Leader Raymond Reginald Black (72062).
Squadron Leader John Edward Wood, D.F.C. (133849).
Flight Lieutenant Barry Raymond Cranston (459114).
The under-mentioned Flight Lieutenants to be temporary
Squadron Leaders, with effect from 1 January 1963:

Norman Eric Richardson (76079).
The under-mentioned cadet aircrew are granted short-
service commissions in the General Duties Branch, Regular
Air Force, for a period ending 9 July 1968 to be followed by
four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. They are
appointed in the rank of Acting Pilot Officer, with seniority
and effect from 19 December 1962:
