Scheme of Control of Ruapehu College
PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the scheme of control of Ruapehu College published in the Gazette of 23 April 1959, page 530; and approves of Ruapehu College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961:*
Provided that clause 18 of the said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the following proviso were added thereto:
“Provided that every member in office at the commencement of this scheme shall hold office until the 31st day of May 1963, whether or not that year is the third year after the year of his appointment or election”.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the City of New Plymouth

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes of the said section, the following special order made by the New Plymouth City Council on the 11th day of February 1963 is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in pursuance of the provisions of section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves by way of special order that the plants mentioned in the Schedule hereto (being plants listed in the First Schedule to the said Act and in the Noxious Weeds Act Extension order 1961) shall be deemed to be noxious weeds within the whole of the City of New Plymouth.

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes of the said section, the following special order made by the Whakatane County Council on the 13th day of December 1962 is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in accordance with the provisions of section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Whakatane County Council declares that hawthorn (Crataegus oxyacantha and Crataegus monogyna), barberry (Berberis vulgaris), and boxthorn (Lycium ferocissimum syn. Lycium horridum) are noxious weeds within the Whakatane County as from the 1st day of April 1963.

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and to a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture under section 9 of the Department of Agriculture Act 1953 for the purposes of the said section, the following special order made by the Tuapeka County Council on the 8th day of March 1963 is hereby published.

SPECIAL ORDER
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 3 (1) of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Tuapeka County Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the under-mentioned plants are noxious weeds within the County of Tuapeka:
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus).
Burdock (Arctium, any species).
Common broom (Cytisus scoparius).
Gorse (Ulex, any species).
Grey willow (Salix cinerea).
Hemlock (Conium maculatum).
Lupin (Lupinus aboreus).
Nassella tussock (Nassella trichotoma).
Nodding thistle (Carduus nutans).
Ragwort (Senecio jacobaea).
Silver poplar (Populus alba var. nivea).
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa).
And such special order shall take effect on the 1st day of April 1963.
