that section to the southern boundary of Section
9, Block V, Aria Survey District; thence south-
westerly along a right line to the source of the Panirau
Stream; thence westerly generally down the middle of that
stream to the middle of the Mokau River; thence north-
easterly generally up the middle of that river to its inter-
section with the eastern side of the Mangapehi Road, the

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE, C.H., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the
Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Ohura North Rabbit
District Order 1963.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the
date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The boundaries of the Ohura North Rabbit District,
which was constituted by Order in Council on the 20th day
of August 1941*, are hereby altered and redefined and, as
from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the
said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE OHURA NORTH RABBIT DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, comprising por-
tions of the Taumarunui and Waitomo Counties, containing
133,300 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing
at a point in the middle of the Ongarue River in line with the
southern boundary of Block III, Tangitu Survey District,
and proceeding southerly down the middle of that river to a
point in line with the southern boundary of part Section 16,
Block II, Rangi Survey District; thence westerly along a right
line across the Ongarue River Road, to and along the
southern boundary of the said Section 16, to and northerly
along the western boundary of that section to the southern
boundary of Section 26, Block I, Rangi Survey District; thence
generally westerly and northerly along the southern and
western boundaries of the said Section 26 to the south-eastern
boundary of part Section 8, Block I, Rangi Survey District;
thence south-westerly generally along the south-eastern boun-
dary of that section and its production across Opotiki Road
to the southern side of that road; thence westerly and southerly
along the southern side of that road and the southern and
eastern sides of Ararimu East Road to a point in line with
southern boundary of part Section 7, Block I, Rangi Survey
District; thence westerly along a right line across Ararimu
East Road, to and westerly generally along the southern
boundary of the said part Section 7 to the eastern boundary
of part Lot 3, D.P. 2717; thence southerly to the south-
eastern corner of the said part Lot 3; thence westerly along
the southern boundaries of part Lot 3, D.P. 2717, part Lot 2,
D.P. 2717, and part Lot I, D.P. 2716, to the easternmost
corner of Section 7, Block IV, Ohura Survey District; thence
westerly generally along the southern boundaries of the said
Section 7, part Section 6, and part Section 4, Block IV, Ohura
Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of part Section 9,
Block III, Ohura Survey District; thence south-westerly
generally along the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of
the said part Section 9, to and across the Waitangata Road,
and along the south-eastern boundary of part Section 1,
Block VII, Ohura Survey District to Tiro Trig.; thence south-
westerly along a right line to Wharehanga Trig. and further
along a right line to the easternmost corner of part Section 7,
Block VII, Ohura Survey District; thence westerly generally
along the southern boundary of the said Block VII to a point
due east of the intersection of the northern side of Huia
Road with the western side of Kopuha Road; thence due
west to and generally westerly along the northern side of
Huia Road and northerly generally along the eastern side
of Ohura Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary
of Lot 3, D.P. 4850; thence north-westerly to and along the
eastern boundary of the said Lot 3 and its production to the
middle of the Waitewhena Stream; thence down the middle
of the Waitewhena Stream to its confluence with the Manga-
kara Stream; thence up the middle of the Mangakara Stream
to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 15,
Block V, Ohura Survey District; thence northerly to and
along the eastern boundary of the said Section 15 to its
northernmost point; thence westerly along the northern
boundary of Section 15 aforesaid, north-westerly along the
north-eastern boundary of part Section 13, Block V, Ohura
Survey District, and northerly along the eastern boundaries
of Sections 4, 3, and 2, Block I, Ohura Survey District, to
the intersection of the northern boundary of the said Section
2 with the western boundary Sub. 2 of Section 3, Block
XIII, Aria Survey District; thence northerly generally along
the western boundaries of Sub. 2 of Section 3, Section 2, and
Section 1, Block XIII, Aria Survey District, and Section 2,
Block IX, Aria Survey District, to the western boundary of
Section 1, Block IX, Aria Survey District; thence south-
easterly generally along the south-western and southern
boundaries of the said Section 1 to the Waitewhena Road;
thence along a right line across that road, to and northerly
along the eastern boundaries of Sections 4 and 2, Block X,
Aria Survey District, to and north-easterly along the south-
eastern boundary of Section 23, Block VI, Aria Survey
District to the southern boundary of the Waitomo County,
as described in Gazette, 1958, p. 1043; thence easterly
generally along the said southern boundary of the Waitomo
County to the south-western corner of Section 8, Block IV,
Aria Survey District; thence northerly and easterly along
the eastern and southern sides of Kakara Road to and
southerly along the eastern boundary of the said Section 8,
to and easterly generally along the northern boundaries of
Sections 9, 10, and 1, Block V, Tangitu Survey District, to
the southern boundary of Block I, Tangitu Survey District;
thence along the southern boundaries of the said Block I
and Blocks II and III, Tangitu Survey District, and the
production of the last-mentioned boundary to the point of
commencement.

Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart
the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as
a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae and meeting
place for the common use and benefit of the members of the
Ngati-Kakahutapiki tribe.

place, landing place, fishing ground, and place of historical
and scenic interest for the common use and benefit of the
Maori race.
