PURSUANT to sections 222 and 464 of the Maori Affairs Act
1953, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby notify and declare
that
Aramihia Baker, Welfare Officer, Kaikohe,
being an officer in the service of the Crown employed by the
Department of Maori Affairs in the position set out opposite
his name, is authorised to attest, in accordance with the provisions of the said sections 222 and 464, the signatures of
Maoris to instruments of alienation of Maori land and to
instruments by way of security within the meaning of the
Chattels Transfer Act 1924.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 16th day of February 1963.
