Crown Land Set Apart as Permanent State Forest Land

BERNARD FERGUSSON, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

SCHEDULE

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT—WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY
SECTION 2, Block I, Patoka Survey District, Hawke’s Bay County: Area, 808 acres 3 roods, more or less. As shown on plan No. 73/10 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 13th day of December 1962.

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as permanent State forest land.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT—NELSON CONSERVANCY
SECTIONS 6, 7, and 12, Block I, Tapumutu Survey District, and part Section 3, Square 20, Block IV, Wakapuaka Survey District, and Block I, Tapumutu Survey District, situated in Waimea County: Area, 992 acres, more or less. As shown on plan No. 103/43 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plan 7111.)

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Brigadier Sir Bernard Edward Fergusson, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as provisional State forest land.

SCHEDULE

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY
ALL those areas situated in Mokoreta Survey District, Southland County, containing approximately 3,184 acres 3 roods 20 perches, being Sections 4 and 5, Block II: Area, 2,390 acres 1 rood, more or less; Section 7, Block VI: Area, 794 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less.

As shown on plans numbered 217/22, 217/23, and 217/24 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plans 6852, 6959, 6853.)

The Kekerangu Rabbit District Order 1962 (Notice No. Ag. 7694)

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 19th day of December 1962

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Kekerangu Rabbit District Order 1962.
    (2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  2. The boundaries of the Kekerangu Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 13th day of March 1946,* are hereby altered and redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE KEKERANGU RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, Amuri, Awatere, and Kaikoura Counties, bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Manakau on the summit of the Seaward Kaikoura Range in Block XIII, Kaitarau Survey District, and proceeding generally south-westerly along the summit of the said range to a point in Block XXII, Acheron Survey District, bearing 205° true, distant 3½ miles from Trig. A (Cloudy Range) in Block XX, Acheron Survey District; thence due south for a distance of 1 mile; thence south-westerly along a right line to the intersection of the Mason River and the southern boundary of Run 208 in Block XXII, aforesaid; thence generally westerly, northerly, and north-easterly along the southern, western, and north-western boundaries of the said Run 208 to the right bank of the Clarence River in Block XXI, Acheron Survey District; thence north-westerly across the Clarence River to its left bank; thence north-easterly generally along the left bank of the Clarence River to its junction with the Spray Stream in Block XI, Tone Survey District; thence northerly along the said stream and the western boundary of part Run 119 to the summit of the Inland Kaikoura Range; thence generally north-easterly along the summit of the said range to Mitre Peak in Block IX, Tapuaenuku Survey District; thence generally easterly along the said summit for a distance of approximately 38 chains to the south-eastern corner of a road; thence along a right line bearing 60° true for a distance of approximately 215 chains to a point on the summit of the said Inland Kaikoura Range, known as the Pinnacles; thence north-easterly along the summit of the said range to Trig. Station F in Block VII, Tapuaenuku Survey District; thence generally easterly along the northern boundaries of part Section 1, Block VII, and part Section 1, Block VIII, of the said district to Trig. Station B in the said Block VIII; thence generally north-easterly and easterly along the north-western boundaries of the said part Section 1, Block VIII, and Section 1, Block VI, Whernside Survey District, and the northern boundaries of the said Section 1, Block VI, Sections 1 and 9, Block VII, Whernside Survey District, Section 90, Mead Hill Run, Clarence Registration District, and Section 10, Block III, Whernside Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the said Section 10; thence south-easterly, north-easterly, and northerly along the south-western, south-eastern, and eastern boundaries of part Lot 6, D.P. 346, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the right bank of the Waima River in Block III, Whernside Survey District; thence generally north-easterly along the said right bank to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block IV, Whernside Survey District; thence southerly generally to and along the said eastern boundary and the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block IX, Whernside Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 4, Block IX; thence westerly, northerly, and again westerly along the southern, western, and southern boundaries of the said Section 4 to the south-western corner of the said Section 4 at a point approximately 19 chains south-east of the north-west corner of the said Section 4; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig. WH (Mount Whernside) in Block VIII, Whernside Survey District; thence along a right line bearing approximately 137° true for a distance of approximately 106 chains to the north-eastern corner of part Section 3, Block VIII, aforesaid, as shown on D.P. 705; thence generally south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the said part Section 3 to Trig. P (Ragged Robin) in the said Block VIII; thence generally southerly along the watershed between Boundary Stream and the Kekerengu River to its intersection with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 1340, in Block XIV, Whernside Survey District; thence westerly generally along the said southern boundary of Lot 1 to the south-western corner of the said Lot 1; thence generally southerly along the boundary between the land shown on D.P. 705 and Lot 2, D.P. 1340, for a distance of 1200·1 links to Peg LXIII, D.P. 705, in Block XIII, Whernside Survey
