RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to section 47 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans
Act 1956, the Foxton Borough Council doth hereby resolve:
"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on
a loan of £3,500 authorised to be raised by the Foxton
Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the
purchase of a house for use as a staff dwelling, the said
Foxton Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal three nought six (0·306) pence in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of
Foxton, comprising the whole of the Borough; and that the
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th
day of January and the 15th day of July in each and every
year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of
twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR ROAD AND TO
CLOSE PORTIONS OF ROAD

In the matter of the Counties Act 1956 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Rotorua County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the deviation of a
public road known as the Rotorua-Atiamuri Main Highway
in the County of Rotorua, and for the purposes of such public
work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are
required to be taken and portions of the road being the
lands described in the Second Schedule hereto are required
to be closed; and notice is hereby further given that a plan
of the lands so required to be taken and the portions of the
said road so to be closed is deposited in the public office of
the Clerk to the above Council and situated at the corner
of Ranolf and Amohau Streets, Rotorua, and is open for
inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office
hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work, by the taking of such lands, or by the closing of the
said portions of the said road who have any well grounded
objections to the execution of the said public work or to
the taking of such lands or to the closing of the said portions
of the said road must state their objections in writing and
send the same, within 40 days from the first publication of
this notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers at
the corner of Ranolf and Amohau Streets, Rotorua. (Postal
