Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister
of Lands hereby declares the reserve for recreation described
in the Schedule hereto to be a public domain, subject to the
provisions of Part III of the said Act, to be known as the
Pokeno Domain and, further, appoints the Franklin County
Council to be the Pokeno Domain Board to have control of
the said domain.

Member of New Zealand Patriotic Fund Board Appointed

Pursuant to the Patriotic and Canteen Funds Act 1947, the
Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints

Robert William Robson, Esquire, of Stratford,
on the nomination of the Taranaki Provincial Patriotic Coun-
cil, to be a member of the New Zealand Patriotic Fund Board,
in place of Percy Thomson, Esquire, M.B.E., deceased.

Appointment of Pharmacy Authority

Pursuant to section 6 of the Pharmacy Amendment Act
1954, the Minister of Health hereby appoints

Wilfred Fosberrey Stilwell, Esquire, M.C.,
to be Pharmacy Authority for the period expiring 30 Sep-
tember 1964.

Remembrance Day 1962

Citizens and traffic control authorities throughout New Zea-
land are requested to observe Remembrance Day on Sunday,
11 November 1962.
The observance of this day should be similar to that of
Remembrance Day last year. Two minutes’ silence to be
observed from 11 a.m. and all vehicular traffic to halt during
that period.

The New Zealand Government trusts that churches will
agree to arrange, as far as practicable, for a morning service
on this day to commence at such time as to enable two
minutes' silence to be observed at 11 o'clock.

Where a citizens' memorial service is held, it is suggested
that it should be at the local cenotaph or war memorial, as
the case may be.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the
Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the
provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regula-
tions so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade
motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned,
but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of
the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy
trade motor in the course of his employment for the
employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but
shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18
years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Partly Revoking a Notice Declaring Land Acquired for a
Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works hereby revokes the notice dated the 18th
day of January 1961, published in Gazette, 26 January 1961,
Vol. I, at page 158, and registered as No. 485668, Wellington
Land Registry, declaring land to be deemed to have been
Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 7th
day of September 1960, subject as to part to pipeline certifi-
cates, in so far as it affects Lot 77, D.P. 15344, Lot 3, D.P.
20523, Lot 29, D.P. 19173, and Lot 220, D.P. 15427.

Notice of Intention to Take Additional Land in Block II,
Waiaua Survey District, for a Maori School, Being Land
Adjoining the Present Site of the Torere Maori School and
Required for an Extension Thereto

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the pro-
visions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the additional
land described in the Schedule hereto for a Maori school; and
notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so
required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Opotiki
and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected
by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-
grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth
the same in writing and send such writing, within 40 days
from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of
Works at Wellington.
