PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 8 of the Standards Act 1941, notice is hereby given that the British Standards and amendments listed in the Schedule hereto are being considered for adoption as New Zealand Standard Specifications. All persons who may be affected by them and who desire to comment thereon, may on application, obtain copies on loan from the New Zealand Standards Institute, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Wellington C. 1.
Requests should specify that copies are required for comment purposes.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 25 October 1962.

Special Order Made by Manukau County Council Altering Riding Boundaries and Riding Representation

PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by the Manukau County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Counties Act 1956, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:
"1. The present division of the County of Manukau into six (6) ridings is revoked and in lieu thereof the said county shall be divided into nine (9) ridings to be called respectively:
Buckland and Eastern Beaches Riding.
Clevedon Riding.
East Tamaki Riding.
Mangere Riding.
Otara Riding.
Pakuranga Riding.
Papakura Riding.
Turanga Riding.
Wairoa Riding.
2. The said Mangere Riding, Papakura Riding, and Turanga Riding shall remain as described in the First Schedule hereto.
3. The Bucklands and Eastern Beaches Riding, Clevedon Riding, East Tamaki Riding, Otara Riding, Pakuranga Riding, and Wairoa Riding shall be as described in the Second Schedule hereto.
4. The number of members of the said Manukau County Council shall be increased from nine (9) members to twelve (12) members and the said twelve (12) members shall be elected as follows:
The electors of Mangere Riding shall elect four (4) councillors. The electors of Bucklands and Eastern Beaches Riding, Clevedon Riding, East Tamaki Riding, Otara Riding, Pakuranga Riding, Papakura Riding, Turanga Riding, and Wairoa Riding shall each elect one (1) councillor.
5. The alterations hereby made shall take effect at the general election of councillors to be held in the month of October 1962 except in so far and to such extent as may be necessary to provide for that election."
