Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 3—Public Inquiry Into Import Duties on Moquettes Containing Wool and Being Specially Suited for Use as Furnishing Fabrics
- The Tariff and Development Board proposes to inquire into and report on the question of what rates of import duty should be imposed on the goods covered by the tariff items listed hereunder:

The present rates of import duty in respect of these items are:
British Preferential: Free.
Most Favoured Nation: 20 per cent.
General: 45 per cent.

For the purpose of taking evidence the Board will hold a public inquiry commencing on Tuesday, 13 November 1962, at 10.30 a.m., in the Conference Room, Second Floor, B.M.A. Building, 26 The Terrace, Wellington.

Any person who intends to tender evidence should comply with the “Notes for the Guidance of Witnesses” which have been prepared by the Board. A copy of these notes may be obtained from the under-named.

A typewritten statement of the evidence to be tendered, compiled in accordance with those notes, should be lodged with the under-named not later than Tuesday, 30 October 1962. Each statement will, in general, need to be presented under oath at the public inquiry by the person tendering it.

Tariff and Development Board Notice No. 4—Public Inquiry Into Import Duties on Infants’ Garments
- The Tariff and Development Board proposes to inquire into and report on the question of what particular types of goods should be approved for admission under the tariff items listed hereunder, or at concessionary rates of duty under Reference No. 10.2 of Part II of the Tariff:

These tariff items relate to garments, as may be approved by the Minister and under such conditions as he may prescribe, suited for wear by infants up to the age of two years.
Attention is drawn to the list of garments at present approved for admission under these items, and the rates of duty applicable, as set out in Tariff Decision List No. 3, published in the Supplement to the Gazette of 14 June 1962.

For the purpose of taking evidence the Board will hold a public inquiry commencing on Monday, 19 November 1962, at 10.30 a.m., in the Conference Room, Second Floor, B.M.A. Building, 26 The Terrace, Wellington.
