Fixing the Number of Members to be Elected for Each Ward of the Wanganui Rabbit District (Notice No. Ag. 7434)

PURSUANT to section 25A of the Rabbits Act 1955, the Wanganui Rabbit Board hereby declares that the number of members to be elected for each ward of the Wanganui Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 21st day of March 1956,* shall be the number specified in the Schedule hereto opposite the name of the ward.

Wanganui Rabbit District Divided into Wards (Notice No. Ag. 7433)

PURSUANT to section 14A of the Rabbits Act 1955, the Wanganui Rabbit Board hereby declares the Wanganui Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 21st day of March 1956,* to be divided into wards having the names and boundaries specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF WANGANUI WARD
All that area in the Wellington Land District, Counties of Waimarino, Wanganui, and Rangitikei, and City of Wanganui, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Wanganui River in line with the western boundary of Ohoutahi 1A in Block XIV, Rarete Survey District, and proceeding generally southerly down the middle of that river to the sea coast; thence south-easterly along the sea coast to the middle of the Turakina River; thence generally north-easterly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the western boundary of the southern part of Section 66, Block XIII, Maungakaretu Survey District, to and along that boundary and its production to and along the generally western boundary of the said Section 66 to the southern boundary of Section 63, Block XIII, aforesaid; thence generally north-westerly along that boundary and the western boundary of the said Section 63 and its production to and along the middle of Hales Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 70, Block XIII, aforesaid, to and along that boundary and the south-western boundary of Section 71, Block XII, Ngamatea Survey District, and its production to and down the middle of the Koukoupo Stream, to and up the middle of the Whangaehu River to its confluence with the Waokaramu Stream in Block VII, Ngamatea Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Waimarino Ward hereinbefore described; thence generally westerly along the generally southern boundary of that ward to the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF WAIMARINO WARD
All that area in the Wellington Land District, County of Waimarino, and Boroughs of Ohakune and Raetihi, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Wanganui River due west of peg XLVIII on the north-western boundary of Section 2, Block I, Whirinaki Survey District, on S.O. 16860, and proceeding due east to the said peg; thence generally easterly along the said north-western boundary of Section 2 and the generally northern boundary of Section 1, Block I, Whirinaki Survey District, to the north-western side of Te Mata Road, along a right line to and along the generally northern boundaries of Sections 2 and 3, Block II, and Section 11, Block III, Whirinaki Survey District, to and along the south-western side of the Raetihi-Ohura Road to the easternmost corner of the said Section 11, along a right line to and along the north-western, northern, and eastern boundaries of Section 9, the north-eastern boundary of Section 8, Block III, the northern, north-western, and north-eastern boundaries of Section 7, Block IV, Whirinaki Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to and along the generally northern boundary of Section 6, the generally north-western and north-eastern boundaries of Section 3, Block IV, Whirinaki Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Maungaroa Road; thence generally south-easterly along the middle of the road and the Ruatiti-Erua Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 2, Block I, Manganui Survey District, to and along that boundary and the generally north-eastern boundaries of Sections 6 and 7, Block V, Manganui Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary, to and along the middle of the Makino Road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 4, Block VI, Manganui Survey District, to and along that boundary and the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 4, to and along the south-western boundary of Section 24, Block VII, Manganui Survey District, and its production to the middle of the Manganuioteao River; thence generally easterly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Lot 2 of Section 18, Block VIII, Manganui Survey District, to and along that boundary and its production to and along the eastern boundary of Lot 2 of Section 13, Block VIII, aforesaid, and its production to and up the middle of the Makatote River, to and up the middle of the Ngahuinga Stream to its source, and along right lines to Trig. Station Kohatu and to Trig. Station H (Paretetaitonga), in Block XII, Ruapehu Survey District; thence generally southerly along right lines to Trig. Station the middle of that stream, the Tokiahuru Stream, and the Ruapehu and to the source of the Mangaehuehu Stream, down Whangaehu River to its confluence with the Waokaramu Stream; thence westerly generally up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Ohotu 6A 1B, to and along that boundary and the generally northern boundaries of that subdivision and Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 2723, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary, to and down the middle of the Okura Stream to its confluence with the Mangawhero River; thence generally north-westerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block VIII, Tauakira Survey District, to and along that boundary and the north-western boundary of that section and its production to the right (western) bank of the Mangaetoroa Stream, being the eastern boundary of Ngarakauwhakarara 12; thence northerly and westerly along the generally eastern and northern boundaries of that block and Ranana 8 to the westernmost corner of Mairehu 2c; thence generally north-easterly along the generally north-western boundaries of that subdivision and Section 21, Block XV, Rarete Survey District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Matihope Stream, down the middle of that stream and the Mangoihe Stream to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Morikau 2, Section 17, in Block XV, Rarete Survey District, to and along that boundary to the southern side of the Mangoihe Road; thence westerly along that side to the north-western corner of the said Section 17, along a right line to and along the northern boundary of part Section 17, aforesaid, and its production to the right bank of the Matauriki Stream; thence generally northerly along that bank, the northern boundary of Morikau 2, Section 11, and the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block XIV, Rarete Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of that section; thence generally south-westerly along the generally north-western boundary of that section and the south-eastern side of Otaranoho Road to a point due east of the northernmost corner of the other part Section 1, aforesaid, due west to that corner and along the northern and western boundaries of the said part Section 1, the northern, north-western and western boundaries of Ohoutahi 1A and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Wanganui River; thence generally northerly up the middle of that river to the point of commencement.
