All that area in the County of Rangitikei bounded by a
line commencing at the confluence of the Kawhatau and
Rangitikei Rivers in Block VI, Hautapu Survey District, and
proceeding generally north-easterly up the middle of the said
Rangitikei River and the Hautapu River to a point in line
with the northern boundary of part Awarua 4c 9A in Block
II, Hautapu Survey District; thence westerly to and along
that boundary and its production across Toetoe Road and
the North Island Main Trunk Railway, to and along the
northern boundary of Lot 4, D.P. 4034, and its production
to the western side of No. 1 National State Highway; thence
generally northerly along that side, to and along the north-
eastern boundaries of Lots 3, 1, and 2, D.P. 4034, to the
northernmost corner of the said Lot 2; thence easterly
along the southern boundaries of Awarua 4c 9B 2 to the
western side of the said highway, along a right line across
the aforesaid highway and railway, to and along the southern
boundary of Awarua 4c 9B 1 and its production to the
middle of the Hautapu River; thence generally northerly
up the middle of that river to a point in line with the
north-western boundary of Section 60, Block XIV Ohine-
wairua Survey District; thence generally easterly to and
along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of that
section to the western side of No. 1 National State Highway;
thence northerly along that side to a point in line with the
northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 13775; thence easterly
to and along that boundary and the northern boundary of
Section 47, Block XIV, Ohinewairua Survey District, to the
north-eastern corner of that section; thence northerly along
the western boundary of Section 5, Block XI, Ohinewairua
Survey District, and its production to the northern side of
the Taihape-Otuareri Road; thence easterly along that side,
the western and northern boundaries of Awarua 3A 2E 2,
the northern boundaries of Awarua 3A 2E 3A, 3A 2E 3B, and
3A 2E 1, crossing intersecting public roads, to the north-
eastern corner of Awarua 3A 2E 1, along the eastern boundary
of that subdivision, the eastern and northern boundaries of
Awarua 3A 2K 1 to a point in line with the north-western
boundary of Section 13, Block XVI, Ohinewairua Survey
District, crossing the Moawhango River, to and along that
boundary and the northern boundary of that section and its
production across the Moawhango Valley Road, to and along
the northern boundaries of Sections 12, 11, and 10, and the
generally northern boundary of Section 8, all of Block XVI,
aforesaid, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary
to the middle of the Otuareiawa Stream, down the middle
of that stream, to and up the middle of Kokopunui Stream
to the western boundary of Section 21, Block IX, Pukeokahu
Survey District; thence southerly along that boundary and
easterly along the northern side of Kokopunui Road to a
point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 24, Block
XIII, Pukeokahu Survey District; thence generally south-
easterly to and along that boundary and the generally northern
boundaries of Sections 25 and 26, Block XIII, aforesaid,
to the western side of the Pukeokahu Road; thence southerly
along that side to a point in line with the south-western
boundary of section 53, Block XIV, Pukeokahu Survey District,
to and along that boundary and its production, to and down
the middle of the Waihi Stream to its confluence with the
Rangitikei River; thence generally north-easterly and northerly
up the middle of that river, to and up the middle of the
Mangatera River to a point in line with the southern boundary
of Awarua 1D B 2 in Block X, Pukeokahu Survey District;
thence easterly to and along that boundary to the eastern-
most corner of that subdivision and along a right line to
Trig. Station V (Te Pota) on the summit of the Ruahine
Range, and being a point on the boundary of the County
of Rangitikei as described in Gazette, 1957, page 1653;
thence generally southerly, north-westerly, and westerly along
that boundary to the point of commencement.
