Tariff Notice—Application for Variation of Approval by the Minister of Customs

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for the exclusion of the following goods from a current approval by the Minister of Customs, the reclassification of such goods under the substantive items of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand as shown, and the admission of such goods at the increased rates of duty prescribed by such substantive items:

Submissions which must be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, should be supported by information as to:
(a) The quality, range, supply, etc., of the above-described goods produced in New Zealand, and
(b) The landed cost and selling price, including c.d.v., and cost into store in terms of f.o.b., insurance, freight, exchange, other landing charges, duty, etc., of equivalent goods of overseas origin.

Special Order Made by Hokianga County Council Altering Riding Boundaries

PURSUANT to section 88 of the Counties Act 1956, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby publishes the following special order made by the Hokianga County Council.

SPECIAL ORDER

IN exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 23 of the Counties Act 1956, the Hokianga County Council resolves, by way of special order, as follows:

  1. To alter the present boundaries of the various ridings in order to give due representation to such additional factors considered relevant by the Council.
  2. The amended descriptions of the said ridings are respectively described in the Schedule hereunder.
  3. The alterations defined above to take effect at the general election of councillors to be held on 13 October 1962, except in so far and to such extent as may be necessary to provide for that election.

SCHEDULE

WHANGAPE RIDING

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Hokianga County, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of Hauturu 1C 2 on the seashore of the Tasman Sea in Block XIII, Whangape Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the said 1C 2 to the western boundary of Warawara 1B 2B 2; thence northerly along the said western boundary and the western boundaries of Warawara 1B 2B 1, 1A, and 2 and the western boundaries of State forest (Gazette, 1886, page 55, and Gazette, 1939, page 350); thence generally easterly along the generally northern boundaries of the said State forests and another
