Appointments in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve

His Excellency the Governor-General is respectfully advised,
pursuant to the Navy Act 1954, to approve the following
appointments, promotions, and terminations of appointment
in the Royal New Zealand Naval Volunteer Reserve.

Lieutenant Commander J. F. Y. Schischka, M.B.E., V.R.D.,
promoted to Commander, 30 June 1962.

Temporary Lieutenant Commander (Sp) T. K. M. Markwick, appointment terminated on expiry of term on Supernumerary List, 31 May 1962. Granted honorary rank of Lieutenant Commander RNZNVR, 1 June 1962.

Probationary Lieutenant (E) J. G. Goldsworthy, confirmed in rank with seniority of 23 June 1962.

Lieutenant (S) D. L. Crump, promoted to Lieutenant Commander (S) with seniority of 12 October 1961.

Sub-Lieutenant B. E. Allpress, commission terminated 27 July 1962 on transfer to RNZN.

Surgeon Sub-Lieutenant D. P. Eyre, promoted to Surgeon Lieutenant with seniority of 17 November 1961.

Temporary Sub-Lieutenant (Sp) I. Logan promoted to Temporary Acting Lieutenant (Sp), 21 April 1962.

Devon Ormond Close entered as Instructor Lieutenant with seniority of 21 March 1962 and appointed HMNZS Olphert, 30 May 1962.

Eric Arthur Parr entered as Sub-Lieutenant with seniority of 2 July 1959 and appointed HMNZS Ngapona, 6 July 1962.

John Charles James entered as Temporary Sub-Lieutenant (Sp) with seniority of 28 May 1962 and appointed for duty with Wanganui Unit Sea Cadet Corps, 28 May 1962.

Thomas Francis Maguire entered as Temporary Sub-Lieutenant (Sp) with seniority of 5 June 1962 and appointed for duty with Tauranga Unit Sea Cadet Corps, 5 June 1962.

Peter John Salamonsen entered as Temporary Sub-Lieutenant (Sp) with seniority of 27 June 1962 and appointed for duty with St. Patrick’s College Unit Sea Cadet Corps, 27 June 1962.

Pat William Win, entered as Temporary Sub-Lieutenant (Sp) with seniority of 2 July 1962 and appointed for duty with Nelson College Unit, Sea Cadet Corps, 2 July 1962.
