NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for a teacher's residence; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Ohingaiti and is there open for inspection; and all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and send the writing, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Agreement for Grant of Easements in Favour of Hughsons Hardware Ltd., of New Plymouth, Over Land Situated in the City of New Plymouth Held for Post Office Purposes, Assented to

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 16th day of May 1953 and published in the Gazette of 21 May 1953, Volume II, page 766, all that piece of land containing 2·88 perches, being part Section 890, Town of New Plymouth, situated in the City of New Plymouth, was taken for post office purposes:

And whereas Hughsons Hardware Ltd., of New Plymouth, were entitled to compensation in respect of their interest in the said land:

And whereas the Minister of Works agreed to grant to the said Hughsons Hardware Ltd. a right of way over adjoining land held for post office purposes together with the right to connect to sewer and stormwater drains on the said land in full satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:

And whereas the said Hughsons Hardware Ltd. agreed to accept such grant of right of way and the right to connect to sewer and stormwater drains in full satisfaction of the said compensation:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives notice, in pursuance of section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Licensing Taupo Boatyards Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Bed of the Waikato River as a Site for a Boatel

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Taupo Boatyards Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the bed of the Waikato River, as shown on plan marked M.D. 11287 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon part of a boatel as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

2. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of August 1962.

3. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10).
