THE MINING ACT 1926
TAKE notice that William Frank Thompson, of Queenstown, farmer, has made application for a licence for a water race commencing at a point approximately ¼ mile up from bridge on Strawberry Gardens Road where Two Mile Creek crosses road and thence running 440 yd. north to south-west across Queenstown Commonage and Ben Lomond Scenic Reserve and terminating in applicant's property, being Section 27, Block I, Mid-Wakatipu Survey District, for 2 heads of water for irrigation, stock, and domestic.

THE MINING ACT 1926
NOTICE is hereby given that, by application No. 34 of 1962, Richard Douglas Francis, of Naseby, farmer, will apply to the Warden's Court at Cromwell at 10 a.m. on the 22nd day of August 1962 for a water race traversing Section 88, Block I, Naseby Survey District, and beginning within the said Section at the confluence of the Coalpit Gully, Wet Gully, and Enterprise Cutting water races, and from such confluence running south 220 yards to terminate in Section 57, Block I, Naseby Survey District.
The said application may be inspected at the office of the Mining Registrar at the Warden's Court, Cromwell.
Objections must be filed in the Registrar's Office, Cromwell, and notified to applicant or his solicitors at least three days before the date of hearing.

CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957
In the matter of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 and in the matter of the estate of Margaret Emily Waite, late of Wellington, married woman, deceased.
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 36 of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, that the New Zealand Insurance Co. Ltd. (as trustee of the above estate) has applied to the Supreme Court at Wellington for approval of a scheme for disposition of the residuary estate of the above named now held by the trustee. The said scheme provides that the net balance of the said residuary estate be divided into four equal parts and that one each of those parts be paid to each of the New Zealand Patriotic Fund Board, the New Zealand War Amputees' Association (Incorporated), the Blinded Servicemen's Trust Board, and the Disabled Servicemen's Re-establishment League (Incorporated), to be applied by them upon certain trusts for the benefit of disabled servicemen of the Second World War.
A copy of the said scheme has been deposited in and may be inspected at the Registry Office of the said Court at Wellington.
It is proposed that the application for approval be heard by the Supreme Court at Wellington on Friday, the 26th day of October 1962.
Any person desiring to oppose the said scheme is required to give written notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar of the said Court to the trustee company and to the Attorney-General not less than seven clear days before the said date proposed for hearing of the application.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the day preceding publication.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.
STATUTORY REGULATIONS
Under the Regulations Act 1936, statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:
(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing) subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, 35s. per volume. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are out of print.)
(3) Separate regulations as issued.
