Town and Country Planning Act 1953—City of Napier District Scheme
WHEREAS the approval granted to the Napier City Council pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 to prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme by sections was notified in the Gazette, 26 July 1956, No. 41, page 976, public notice is hereby given that the aforesaid notice is revoked and that approval has now been granted to the Napier City Council to prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme by seven sections as follows:
Section 1, Marewa As approved under the Town Planning Act 1926 and made operative under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 by virtue of section 16 of the Local Legislation Act 1955.
Section 2, Onekawa South As described in Gazette, 26 July 1956, No. 41, page 976.
Section 3, Maraenui-As described in Gazette, 26 July 1956, No. 41, page 976.
Section 4, City-West-Shore As described in Gazette, 26 July 1956, No. 41, page 976.
Section 5, Onekawa West As described in Gazette, 27 March 1958, No. 20, page 380.
Section 6, Ahuriri Lagoon As described in the First Schedule hereto.
Section 7, Pirimai As described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
CITY OF NAPIER DISTRICT SCHEME
Section 6: Ahuriri Lagoon Section
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, City of Napier, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block IV, Heretaunga Survey District, on the eastern side of No. 2 State Highway, being the south-western corner of Lot 2, D.P. 6408, and proceeding easterly along the southern boundary of that lot to the western side of Meeanee Quay; thence south-easterly generally along that roadside, the south-western boundaries of a Maori Canoe Reserve, a right of way, the south-western and southern boundaries of Lots 5 and 4, Deeds Plan 211, Lot 2, D.P. 7553, Lot 1, Deeds Plan 211, and again Meeanee Quay, to and northerly along the eastern boundary of Lot 21, D.P. 6965, and its production to and northerly along the western mole at the entrance to the Inner Harbour to its intersection by the mean high water mark; thence north-easterly along a right line to the intersection of the eastern mole at the said harbour entrance by the mean high water mark; thence southerly generally along the mean high water mark to a point on the northern side of the Iron Pot in line with the western side of West Quay and along a right line to and along that quay side to and along the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6339, and its production southerly along a right line to the western side of Napier Ahuriri Railway and southerly along that side of that railway to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6313; thence south-easterly across the said railway, along a line shown on S.O. Plan 1175, green, to the eastern side of the railway being also the westernmost point of Town Section 721, Napier; thence again south-easterly along the eastern side of that railway to a point in line with the western boundary of Town Section 722, Napier; thence southerly to and along the western and south-western boundaries of Town Section 722, Napier, to and easterly along a right line across the aforesaid railway to the southern side of Hyderabad Road at the westernmost corner of Section 27, Block IV, Heretaunga Survey District, and easterly along that roadside to and along the southern boundary of Town Section 701R, Napier, and along a right line to the north-western corner of Lot 46, D.P. 5290, being a point on the south-eastern side of No. 2 State Highway; thence south-westerly along that roadside and the south-eastern side of No. 50 State Highway, including the crossings of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway and intersecting streets to and down the left bank of the Old Bed of the Tutaekuri River, to the right bank of the main gravity drain as shown on S.O. Plan 2252; thence north-westerly along a right line to the eastern side of No. 2 State Highway at the intersection of two road boundaries shown on D.P. 6313 as bearing 342° 48', distance 191·8 links, and bearing 345° 57', distance 191·8 links; thence northerly generally along that roadside to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
CITY OF NAPIER DISTRICT SCHEME
Section 7: Pirimai Section
ALL that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, City of Napier, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-western side of No. 50 State Highway in the middle of a drain adjacent to the boundary between Lots 5 and 6, D.P. 6562, and proceeding north-easterly along that roadside to a point in line with the middle of the Meeanee Drain; thence south-easterly to and along the middle of that drain to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 493, and south-easterly along a right line towards that boundary to its intersection by a right line bearing 20° 30' as described in the Second Schedule of Napier Harbour Board and Napier Borough Enabling Act 1945; thence along right lines south-westerly bearing 200° 30' for a distance of 1,970 links, north-westerly bearing 281° 16' for 7,740 links
(including the crossing of public roads), north-easterly bearing 13° 44' for 4,850 links, and bearing 37° 30' for 1,400 links, to the middle of the first-mentioned drain; thence south-easterly along the middle of that drain to the point of commencement.

Dedication of a Road Reserve as a Road

Declaration that Part of the Ohoka and Eyreton Domain Shall be a Recreation Reserve and Revocation of the Reservation Over the Said Reserve
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that that part of the Ohoka and Eyreton Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part III of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be a recreation reserve subject to Part II of the said Act and, further, revokes the reservation for recreation purposes over the said reserve.
