Alteration of Boundaries of Borough of Te Awamutu and
County of Waipa (Time and Place for Hearing Appeal)
PURSUANT to section 36 of the Local Government Commission
Act 1961, it is hereby notified that the Local Government
Appeal Authority has fixed 10. a.m. on Tuesday, 27 February
1962, as the time, and the Courthouse, Hamilton, as the
place for the hearing of the appeal by the Lower Mangapiko
Drainage Board against the final reorganisation scheme of the
Local Government Commission dated 16 October 1961, providing
for the area described in the Schedule to that scheme
to be excluded from the County of Waipa and included in
the Borough of Te Awamutu.

Bylaw Regulating Movement of Cattle on the Lower Shotover
Bridge on the Blenheim-Invercargill State Highway and on
the Cromwell Bridge on the Timaru-Milton State Highway
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1949, the National Roads Act
1953, and to all other powers and authorities in anywise
enabling it, the National Roads Board hereby makes the
following bylaw:
B Y L A W
- This bylaw may be cited as the National Roads Board
Bylaw 1961, No. 2. - This bylaw shall come into force on the day of its
publication in the Gazette. - In this bylaw the word “cattle” includes any bull,
cow, ox, heifer, or calf. - No person shall drive, or cause to be driven, or permit
or allow any cattle other than cattle securely enclosed in a
vehicle on the bridge known as the Lower Shotover Bridge
on the No. 6 State Highway, or on the bridge known as the
Cromwell Bridge on the No. 8 State Highway. - Every person who commits an offence against this bylaw
is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £20.
This bylaw was made by resolution duly passed at a
meeting of the National Roads Board held in Wellington
on the 15th day of December 1961.

Releasing Land From the Provisions of Part XXIV of the
Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Mataitai Development Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the date
of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject
to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act
1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice
dated 30 August 1950 and published in the Gazette, 7 September
1950, Volume III, page 1667.
