HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Levin Section County of Horowhenua District Scheme Approved

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Levin Section County of Horowhenua District Scheme was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 11th day of July 1962 after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme have been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed and all amendments of the district scheme required by the Board had been incorporated.

The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of September 1962.

Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

BOROUGH OF ONE TREE HILL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and its amendments, and to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the operative district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for the Borough of One Tree Hill has been altered, under the provisions of section 29 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 and amendments, and the alterations were approved by the Council by resolution passed at a meeting held on the 19th day of June 1962 after all objections relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections allowed, and that Council has resolved that the alterations to the district scheme shall come into operation on the 1st day of August 1962.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Public Notification of Rodney County District Scheme

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Council made on the 20th day of March 1960, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the County of Rodney. The scheme has been deposited in the Rodney County Council Office, Baxter Street, Warkworth, the Public Library, Alnwick Street, Warkworth, the Public Library, Rodney Street, Wellsford, and the office of the Auckland Regional Planning Authority at 26 Princes Street, Auckland, in accordance with section 22 (1) of that Act and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 7 November 1962. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the County Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.

NEW LYNN BOROUGH COUNCIL

SPECIAL ORDER INCREASING NUMBER OF COUNCILLORS

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution, intended to operate as a special order, was passed at a special meeting of the New Lynn Borough Council convened for that purpose and held on 18 July 1962, and will come up for confirmation at an ordinary meeting of the said Council to be held in the Council Chamber, Memorial Avenue, New Lynn, on Wednesday, 15 August 1962, at 7.30 p.m.

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 53 (2) of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the New Lynn Borough Council resolves, by way of special order, as follows:

“(1) The number of members of the New Lynn Borough Council shall be increased from a Mayor and six councillors to a Mayor and eight councillors.

“(2) This special order shall have effect at the general election of members to be held in the month of October 1962, except in so far and to such extent as may be necessary to provide for that election.”

NEW PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL

SPECIAL ORDER INCREASING NUMBER OF COUNCILLORS

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the provisions of section 53 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, that the following resolution was passed as a special order by the New Plymouth City Council at a special meeting held on the 18th day of June 1962, and duly confirmed at a special meeting held on the 16th day of July 1962.

RESOLUTION

“That the New Plymouth City Council, being satisfied from information obtained from the Government Statistician and other sources that the population of the City now exceeds thirty thousand (30,000), hereby resolves by way of special order, and in pursuance of section 53 (1) (b) of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and of all other powers and authorities it thereunto enabling, that the total number of members of the said Council (exclusive of the Mayor) shall be increased from 10 to 12.”

BOROUGH OF RICHMOND

NOTICE is hereby given that, at a special meeting of the Richmond Borough Council held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday, 17 July 1962, the following resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at an ordinary meeting to be held in the Council Chambers on Tuesday, 14 August 1962, at 7.30 p.m.:

“That, in exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 53 (2) of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Richmond Borough Council resolves by way of special order to increase the number of councillors from six (6) as at present to eight (8) councillors, the increase to take effect as from the forthcoming elections in October 1962. That this special order be advertised in the Gazette.”

THE OTAGO PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH BOARD OF PROPERTY ACT 1962

NOTICE is hereby given that The Otago Presbyterian Church Board of Property proposes to apply for leave to bring into the General Assembly of New Zealand in Parliament assembled during its present Session a Private Bill the objects of which are to consolidate the Private Acts under which the said Board is constituted and acts, and to amend the provisions of those Acts so that the same may accord with the requirements present today and envisaged in the future by empowering the said Board to sell certain lands, mortgage lands, erect and lease buildings, by resolving doubts about certain funds administered by the said Board, and as to the disposal of certain moneys in such funds, by determining the description and boundaries of the land held in trust as the site of First Church, by providing more adequately for the said Board’s accounting to Synod, and for the latter to make its requirements known to the former, by making provision for incorporated Deacons’ Court to change their corporate names and requiring such Deacons’ Courts to have Synod’s consent before purchasing land or selling, disposing of, or mortgaging their lands, and empowering the said Board to develop certain of its lands in the Borough of Mosgiel in ways similar to those available to the Council of that borough under its own empowering Act of 1922.

The promoter of this Private Bill is The Otago Presbyterian Church Board of Property.
