PURSUANT to the Standards Act 1941 and the regulations made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 19 July 1962, amended the under-mentioned standard specification by the incorporation of the amendment shown hereunder:

Number and Title of Specification: N.Z.S.S. 1662 : 1961: Seat belt assemblies for motor vehicles; being B.S. 3254 : 1960.

Amendment: No. A.

Price of Copy (Post Free): 4s. 6d.

Application for copies of the standard specification so amended should be made to the N.Z. Standards Institute, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Wellington C.1.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Standards Act 1941 and regulations made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 19 July 1962, revoked the under-mentioned specifications:

N.Z.S.S. 163 : 1949: Identification of chemical pipe lines; being B.S. 457 : 1932.

N.Z.S.S. 278 : 1949: Vitreous-enamelled steel reflectors for electric lighting (open dispersive type); being B.S. 232 : 1938.

N.Z.S.S. 617 : 1950: Terms and definitions relating to heat treatment of steel; being B.S. 1392 : 1947.

N.Z.S.S. 793 : 1952: Glass milk-bottles.

N.Z.S.S. 439 : 1950: Components for radio-interference suppression devices (excluding devices for traction, marine and other special equipment); being B.S. 613 : 1940.

Varying Notice of Declaration of State Highways

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953, the National Roads Board, acting with written approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice that it varies the notice declaring public highways to be State highways dated 9 March 1960, published in the Gazette, 24 March 1960, Vol. I, page 384, by deleting from the Schedule to the said notice the paragraph described in the First Schedule hereto and substituting therefor the paragraph set out in the Second Schedule hereto.


FIRST SCHEDULE

PARAGRAPH deleted from the North Island section of Part I of the Schedule to the said notice:

No. 16 State Highway (Auckland-Wellsford).


SECOND SCHEDULE

PARAGRAPH substituted in the North Island section of Part I of the Schedule to the said notice:

No. 16 State Highway (Auckland-Wellsford) – commencing in the City of Auckland and proceeding thence to Wellsford via the Auckland-Whenuapai Motorway, Hobsonville Road, Helensville, Kaukapakapa, and Tauhoa.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954—Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union

PURSUANT to section 85 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Auckland Public Accountants’ Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers, Registered No. 1651, situated at Auckland, is hereby cancelled as from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Boundaries of Borough of Tauranga Defined

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby revokes the definition of the boundaries of the Borough of Tauranga published in Gazette, 22 March 1962, No. 19, page 484, and defines the boundaries of the borough as set out in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF TAURANGA

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 25114, with the line of mean high water on the shores of the Tauranga Harbour in Block IX, Tauranga Survey District, and proceeding generally northerly and easterly along the shores of the said harbour, to and south-westerly along the shores of the Waikareao Estuary, to and south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the land taken for the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, and again along the shores of the said estuary, to and southerly along the shores of the Tauranga Harbour to the southernmost corner of Allotment 887, Section 2, Town of Tauranga, in Block XIV, Tauranga Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern side of a public road, crossing the Waimapu River Estuary, to and north-easterly, southerly, and south-westerly generally along the shores of the Tauranga Harbour (Maungatapu Peninsula), and along the left bank of the Kaitimako Stream to the north-eastern corner of Hairini 1A 4C 1; thence westerly generally along the northern boundaries of Hairini 1A 4C 1 and 1A 2, a right line across Ohauiti Road, to and along the northern boundaries of Hairini 5B and 1D, and along another right line across the Waimapu River Estuary to the north-eastern corner of Lot 93, D.P. S. 2360; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said Lot 93 and the northern boundaries of Lots 92, 81, the northern end of a public road, Lots 16, 116, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, and 3, D.P. S. 2360, and Lot 1, D.P. S. 1870, and the last-mentioned boundary produced across Fraser Street to its western side; thence northerly and north-westerly along the western and south-western sides of the said street and Courtney Street to and north-westerly along the south-western side of Twenty-second Avenue, south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Cameron Street to a point in line with the south-western side of Twenty-third Avenue; thence north-westerly along a right line across Cameron Street, to and along the said south-western side of Twenty-third Avenue, the south-western and western sides of Cook Street, and the south-western side of Faulkner Street to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 49, Suburbs of Tauranga; thence northerly along a right line across Faulkner Street to and along the north-eastern side of the said street and its production to and down the middle of the Kopurererua Stream to a point in line with the southernmost boundary of Lot 64, D.P. S. 2364; thence westerly along a right line to and along the said southernmost boundary, to and northerly along the eastern boundaries of part Lot 2 and Lot 1, D.P. 17807, and north-westerly along the north-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 1 and part Allotment 79, Te Papa Parish shown on D.P. 7410, and that last-named boundary produced to the middle of Cambridge Road; thence westerly generally along a right line to and along the northern and western boundaries of Allotment 80, Te Papa Parish, and along the northern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 11768; thence northerly generally along the eastern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 10920, along a right line across State Highway No. 2, to and along the north-western boundaries of Lot 2 and part Lot 1, D.P. 23397, and along the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 25114, to the point of commencement.

Also Section 8, Block X, Tauranga Survey District (Recreation Reserve), known as Motuopuhi or Rat Island.
