Licensing Fish Freezers Ltd., of Invercargill, to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Bed of the Sea at Half-moon Bay, Stewart Island, as a Site for a Fish-freezing Works
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Fish Freezers Ltd., of Invercargill (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Half-Moon Bay, Stewart Island, as shown on plan marked M.D. 5162 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a fish-freezing works as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
- The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of April 1962.
- The renewal fee payable by the licensee shall be two pounds (£2) and the annual sum so payable five pounds (£5).

Scheme of Control of Taita College
PURSUANT to section 92 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby revokes the approval of the scheme of control for Taita College published in the Gazette of 11 October 1956, No. 55, page 1394; and approves of Taita College being controlled in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools 1961:*
Provided that:
(a) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if the clause set out in the Schedule hereto was inserted after clause 12;
(b) Clause 18 of the said Standard Scheme shall be read as if the following proviso was added thereto:
“Provided that every member in office at the commencement of this scheme shall hold office until the 31st day of May in the year 1963, whether or not that year is the third year after the year of his appointment or election.”
SCHEDULE
CLAUSE TO BE READ AS PART OF STANDARD SCHEME
“12A. (1) In every case where any member is to be elected by the members of the school committees of the public schools and intermediate school to which paragraph (e) of clause 2 of the Taita Post-primary School Board of Governors Order 1956 applies, every such member shall be elected at a meeting of the members of the school committees called for the purpose.
“(2) Such an election shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1963 and in every third year thereafter, or as soon thereafter as may be convenient on a date to be fixed by the Taita Post-primary School Board of Governors. For the purposes of any such election, the secretary of the Board of Governors shall be the returning officer.
“(3) The returning officer shall send to each member of the aforesaid school committees, so as to reach him in the ordinary course of post not later than five days before the day on which any such election is to be held, a notification of the day, hour, and place of the meeting at which the election is to be held.”
