Tariff Notice—Applications for Approval of the Minister of Customs
NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been made for admission, at concessional rates of duty, by approval of the Minister of Customs, of the goods described hereunder:

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing on or before 12 July 1962. Submissions, which must be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, should be supported by information as to:
(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportions of New Zealand and imported materials used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory costs in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.

Tariff Notice—Applications for Determination of the Minister of Customs
NOTICE is hereby given that the applications seeking the imposition of increased rates of duty on certain goods classified under Group 641 of the Customs Tariff, and originally notified in Tariff Notice 1962/8,* have been withdrawn at the request of the applicant.

Tariff Notice—Application for Amendment to a Determination by the Minister of Customs
NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for a variation of a determination by the Minister of Customs under item 180 (6) (a) of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand, by excluding:
Warp knitted terylene ironer tape, in ½ in., ¾ in., and 1½ in. widths, for use on “Multiroll” commercial ironing machines.
from the following determination:
Knitted piece goods (not being printed or embroidered) composed wholly or principally of silk or man-made fibres.
The application will not be dealt with until 12 July 1962, and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 12 July 1962.
Any such objection should be supported by information as to:
(a) The range of goods manufactured;
(b) The proportions of New Zealand and imported materials used in the manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory costs in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.
