north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 20477, to and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 1 and Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16, and north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 16, all the aforesaid lots being of the said D.P. 20477, to and south-westerly and north-westerly along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Allotment 273, Waimana Parish, quarry site, Gazette, 1950, page 1705, and south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Bay View Road to the westernmost corner of part of Lot 1, D.P. 25400; then south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the said part Lot 1, to and south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Part Allotment 245, Waimana Parish, as shown on D.P. 23787, to the westernmost corner of the said part Allotment 245; then along a right line, crossing another part of the said Allotment 245, as shown on D.P. 10438, and Wainui Road, to and south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of part Allotment 245, shown on D.P. 23747, and Lots 4 and 3, D.P. S. 2832, to the Whakatane-Kutarere Road; then along a right line bearing 186° 34′ across the said road to its southern side, and westerly along that side of the said road to a point 500 links from and measured at right angles to the eastern side of State Highway No. 2; then southerly generally along a series of right lines parallel to the said highway to the intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. S. 805; then south-easterly and south-westerly along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Lot 3 to the eastern side of State Highway No. 2; then along a right line across that highway to and along the northern boundary of Allotment 23, Waimana Parish, and its production to the middle of the Whakatane River; then down the middle of that river to the intersection of a right line joining the easternmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 13465, with the north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 18662; then south-easterly along that line to the point of commencement.
BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF WHAKATANE
All that area in the South Auckland and Gisborne Land Districts bounded by a line commencing on the shores of the Bay of Plenty at the north-eastern corner of Waewaehikatea No. 1, in Block IV, Waihi South Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly generally along the said shores to the eastern extremity of the Ohope Land Spit, on the western shores of the entrance to Ohiwa Harbour; then due south along a right line for a distance of 500 links; then due south-west along a right line to the intersection with another right line from the southern extremity of Allotment 249, Waimana Parish (Ohakana Island), and passing through a point 100 links due north of the northern extremity of Allotment 284, Waimana Parish (Uretara Island); then westerly generally along the last-mentioned right line to the southern extremity of Allotment 249 aforesaid, and along a right line to a point 1,000 links distant from, and due west of, the northern extremity of Allotment 127, Waimana Parish (Whitiwhiti Point); then along another right line to the intersection of the line of mean high water along the shores of the aforesaid Ohiwa Harbour with the northern boundary of that part of Lot 2, D.P. 12843, bounded on the south-west by Wainui Road, and along that northern boundary and a right line, being that boundary produced across Wainui Road to its western side; then southerly generally along the western and south-western sides of that road to the junction with the western side of State Highway No. 2 at the north-eastern corner of Allotment 183A, Waimana Parish, and along the western side of that State highway to the south-eastern corner of Allotment 223, Waimana Parish, aforesaid; then easterly and again southerly generally along a right line across the said State Highway to and along the southern boundaries of Allotments 268 and 269, Waiotahi Parish, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned allotment; then along a right line to and along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Part Section 6 and the south-eastern boundary of Section 5, both of Block IV, Waimana Survey District, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Waimana 1c, 1b, 1c 1c 2, 1c 1c 3, 1c 1c 4A, 1c 1c 4B 3, 1d 2B 1B, Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 16028, Waimana 1d 2B 2, 1d 3, Lot 1, D.P. 15760, and Waimana 1d 5B, to Trig. Station D, Paitaua, in Block VIII, Waimana Survey District; then north-westerly along the south-western boundary of the aforesaid 1d 5B to the middle of the Waimana River; then again southerly generally up the middle of the said river, to and up the middle of the Tauranga River and the Mangatoatoa Stream to the intersection rear the source of that stream with a right line from Maungatapere Trig. Station to Maungapohatu Trig. Station (2126); then south-westerly generally along a right line to the last-mentioned trig. station; then south-easterly generally along a right line proceeding in the direction of Puketapu Trig. Station in Block VII, Tuahu Survey District, to a point in line with the northern boundary of part Waipaoa No. 5 (State Forest No. 91); then along a right line to and along the northern and north-western boundaries of the said Waipaoa No. 5 and Waipaoa No. 4, to and southerly along the western boundary of the said No. 4 to its intersection with a right line between Puketapu Trig. Station aforesaid and the northernmost point of Lake Waikaremoana; then south-westerly along the last-mentioned line to the said northern point of Lake Waikaremoana and along a right line passing through a point in Block X, Tuwatawata Survey District, 180 chains due north of Maungataniwha Trig. Station, to the intersection of that line with a right line from Trig. Station 69, Tataroakino, in Block VIII, Tarawera Survey District (Hawke’s Bay Land District), to Trig. Station 76A, Tawhiwhau, in Block XIV, Galatea Survey District; then along a right line to Te Taumutu Trig. Station in Block XVI, Heruwi Survey District; then along a right line to Pukeroa Trig. Station in Block XI of the aforesaid Heruwi Survey District; then northerly along a right line to Trig. Station F, Tiritiri, in Block III, Heruwi Survey District, aforesaid; then along a right line to Trig. Station 76, Taupiri, in Block XII, Wheao Survey District; then along a right line to Trig. Station 78, Pekepeke, in Block III, Wheao Survey District; then along a right line to the intersection of a right line between Trig. Station 31, Paeroa, in Block V, Paeroa Survey District, and Trig. Station 76A, Tawhiwhau, aforesaid, with the production of a right line between Trig. Station 18, Maungawhakamana, in Block III, Ruawahia Survey District, and Trig. Station 38, Ahiwhakamura, in Block X, Kaingaroa Survey District; then along the last-mentioned right line to Maungawhakamana Trig. Station aforesaid; then along a right line to the south-western corner of part Allotment 63, Matata Parish; then along the western boundaries of part Allotment 63 aforesaid and part Section 15, Block XI, Rotoma Survey District, to its north-western corner; then along a right line to and along the eastern boundary of Section 6, Block VI, Waihi South Survey District, to and along the eastern boundary of Tahunaroa 3A, to and along the eastern boundaries of part Lot 10, Lot 11, part Lot 13, and Lots 14 and 15, D.P. 8636, along the eastern boundaries of Lots 6, 4, and 2, D.P. 35929, and part Lot 1, D.P. 8636, crossing State Highway No. 2, and along a right line across a public road, to and along the eastern boundaries of Waewaehikatea No. 3, 2A, and 2B, the eastern boundary of an Urupa, and along a right line across the East Coast Main Trunk Railway, to and along the eastern boundary of Waewaehikatea No. 1 aforesaid, to the point of commencement; excluding therefrom the Borough of Kawerau as described in Gazette, 1957, page 808, the Town District of Murupara as described in Gazette, 1960, page 330, and the Borough of Whakatane as hereinbefore described.
BOUNDARIES OF THE TANEATUA RIDING
All that area in the South Auckland Land District, Whakatane County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Whakatane River in Block I, Whakatane Survey District, being the easternmost corner of Lot 2, D.P. 13465, and proceeding south-easterly along the right line joining the said corner with the north-western corner of Lot 1, D.P. 18662, to the junction with the boundary of the Borough of Whakatane in the middle of the said Whakatane River; then south-easterly and northerly generally along the boundary of the said Borough as hereinbefore described, to and south-easterly generally along the south-western sides of the Whakatane-Kutarere Road, the Wainui stock route road, and again the Whakatane-Kutarere Road, to and along the western boundary of part Lot 6, D.P. 10440, and Lot 1, D.P. 29595, the northern and western boundaries of an area of Crown land, and the western boundaries of Allotments 377, 357, and 346, Waimana Parish, crossing the intervening public roads, to a point in Block XIV, Whakatane Survey District, in line with the northern boundary of Allotment 337 of the said parish; then along a right line to and along that northern boundary and the northern boundary of Allotment 446, along another part of the northern boundary of the said Allotment 337 to the eastern side of State Highway No. 2, and along that eastern side to a point in line with the southern boundary of Allotment 379, Waimana Parish, aforesaid; then along a right line across the said State highway and the Waimana River, to and along that southern boundary, along a right line across a public road, to and along the northern and western boundaries of Allotment 345, the western boundaries of Allotment 327, an area of Crown land, Allotments 355 and 340, the aforesaid Allotments being of Waimana Parish, along the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S. 2181, to the northern boundary of Ruatoki 1B 2U 3; then westerly generally along the aforesaid northern boundary to and along the northern boundaries of parts Ruatoki 1B 2A, 1B 2C 2, 1B 2J 2, 1B 2H, 1B 2B 3, 1B 2T 3, 1B 2U 11, 1B 2U 12, 1B 2U 7, 1B 2U 6, 2B 1, 2B 2, and 2B 11, crossing the intervening public roads and the Whakatane and Owhakatoro Rivers to the south-western corner of Allotment 41B 10D, Rangitaiki Parish, in Block IV, Rangitaiki Lower Survey District; then north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Allotments 41B 10D, 41A 9D and 33L, to and easterly along the northern boundaries of the said Allotment 33L, and Allotment 42, all the said allotments being of Rangitaiki Parish, crossing the intervening public roads, and continuing easterly along the northern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 11736, and Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 10785, to the left bank of the Whakatane River; then northerly generally along the said left bank to the point of commencement.
