along the middle of Beach Road to a point in line with the
western boundary of Reserve 4079; thence northerly to and
along that boundary to the south-western corner of Reserve

boundary of that reserve, the southern, eastern, and again
southern boundaries of Lot 3, D.P. 11317, to the western side
of Badger Street, along that roadside and the northern side
of Silvia Street to the easternmost corner of Lot 1, D.P. 11317,
along the eastern boundary of that lot to the south-western
corner of Lot 2, D.P. 20980; thence easterly along the
southern boundary of that lot to the north-eastern corner of
Lot 32, D.P. 8314, along a right line to and again along the
southern boundary of Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 20980, to the
south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence
northerly along the eastern boundaries of Lots 3, 4, 5, and 1,

thence easterly along that boundary and its production to
the middle of Bower Avenue; thence southerly along the
middle of that road and easterly along the middle of Florance

BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF HEATHCOTE

All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by
a line commencing at Mount Pleasant, on the summit of the
Port Hills and proceeding westerly along the northern bound-
ary of Rural Section 34917, the north-eastern and north-
western boundaries of Reserve 101 to the southern side of
the closed road passing through Reserve 3816, Rural Sections
24815, 1891, and forming the northern boundary of Rural
Section 23561 (shown on S.O. Plan 4829); thence westerly
generally along the southern side of that closed road to the
north-western corner of Rural Section 23561, on the summit
of the Port Hills; thence south-westerly generally along the
summit of the Port Hills to the north-eastern
boundary of Reserve 3901, Block III, Halswell Survey Dis-
trict; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary
of Reserve 3901 to and across the Summit Road, to and
along the north-eastern boundary of part Rural Section 37133
and its production to the north-eastern side of Worsleys
Road, along that roadside to and along the north-eastern
boundary of another part Rural Section 37133 to the north-
eastern side of Worsleys Road and continuing north-westerly
generally along that roadside to the middle of Cashmere
Stream, being a point on the boundary of the City of
Christchurch, hereinbefore described; thence easterly generally
along the generally southern boundary of the City of Christ-
church to point on a line bearing 86° 11' from Mount
Pleasant; thence westerly along that line to the point of
commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF VALLEY RIDING

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, Heathcote
County, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left
bank of the Heathcote River and in line with the north-
western boundary of Rural Section 329, Block XVI, Christ-
church Survey District; thence south-westerly to and along
that boundary to the eastern side of Scruttons Road; thence
southerly along that roadside to a point in line with the

southern side of Port Hills Road; thence westerly to and
along that roadside to the western boundary of Rural Section
966; thence southerly along that boundary and the western
boundaries of Rural Sections 104, 23594, and 23560 and the
production of the last-mentioned boundary to the southern
boundary of the County of Heathcote hereinbefore de-
scribed; thence easterly, northerly, and westerly along that
boundary to the point of commencement.

Tariff Notice—Application for Withdrawal of Approval by the Minister of Customs

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made
for withdrawal of the approval by the Minister of Customs
of the under-mentioned goods under item 448 (3) of the
Customs Tariff of New Zealand:

Ladder tape, wholly of plastic, other than woven plastic
material, specially suited for use with venetian blinds.
This ladder tape is subject to British Preferential Tariff of
3 per cent and General Tariff of 10 per cent plus surtax
of nine-fortieths of the amount of duty.
The application will not be dealt with until 8 February
1962, and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto
should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs,
Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 8 February 1962.

Any such objection should be supported by:
(a) Information as to whether suitably equivalent goods
are available or can be produced in New Zealand; and
(b) Details of landed cost and selling price, including c.d.v.
and cost into store in terms of f.o.b., insurance,
freight, exchange, other landing charges, and duty.

Tariff Notice—Application for Withdrawal of Approval by the Minister of Customs

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made
for withdrawal of the approval by the Minister of Customs
of the under-mentioned goods under item 448 (3) of the
Customs Tariff of New Zealand:

Aluminium sections rolled, declared by a manufacturer
for use by him only in making flyscreens for windows
and doors.
These sections are subject to British Preferential Tariff of
3 per cent and General Tariff of 10 per cent plus surtax
of nine-fortieths of the amount of duty.
The application will not be dealt with until 8 February
1962, and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto
should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs,
Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 8 February 1962.

Any such objection should be supported by:
(a) Information as to whether suitably equivalent goods
are available or can be produced in New Zealand; and
(b) Details of landed cost and selling price, including c.d.v.
and cost into store in terms of f.o.b., insurance,

Tariff Notice—Application for Approval of the Minister of Customs

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made
for the classification, by approval of the Minister of Customs,
of the undermentioned goods under item 199 (1) (a) of
the Customs Tariff of New Zealand:

High pressure tubing composed of smooth, natural rubber
outside and an antisolvent rubber lining, reinforced with
a minimum of two braids, and being not less than $ rac{1}{2}$in.
internal diameter.
The application will not be dealt with until 8 February
1962, and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto
should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs,
Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 8 February 1962.

Any objection should be supported by information as to:
(a) The range of goods manufactured;
(b) The proportions of New Zealand and imported materials
used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory costs in terms of materials, labour
overhead, etc.
