Standard Specification Revoked
Pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1941 and regulations made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 16 April 1962, revoked the under-mentioned standard specifications:
N.Z.S.S. 170 : 1948: Code of illumination values.
N.Z.S.S. 1036 : 1953: Preservation of Tawa and Taraire for use in the manufacture of furniture and dowels.

Code of Recommended Practice
Pursuant to the provisions of the Standards Act 1941, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 30 March 1962, approved the recommendation of the Standards Council that the under-mentioned code of recommended practice be adopted:
Number and Title of Code of Recommended Practice CP 22 : 1962: Illumination values and design of lighting installations (superseding N.Z.S.S. 170).

Amendment of Standard Specifications
Pursuant to the Standards Act 1941 and regulations made thereunder, the Minister of Industries and Commerce, on 28 March 1962, amended the under-mentioned standard specifications by the incorporation of the amendments shown here-under:
Number and Title of Specification Amendment N.Z.S.S. 258: Ferrous pipes and piping in- No.2 (PD 2686) stallations for and in connection with land No.3 (PD 3994) boilers; being B.S. 806 : 1954.
N.Z.S.S. 378: Test code for fuel fired melt-No.1 (PD 3989) ing furnaces used in the non-ferrous metals industry; being B.S. 992 : 1941.
N.Z.S.S. 1328: Code for acceptance tests for No.1 (PD 3953) steam-generating units; being B.S. 2885 : 1957.
Application for copies of the standard specifications so amended should be made to the N.Z. Standards Institute, Bowen State Building, Bowen Street, or Private Bag, Wellington C. 1. Copies of the amendments will be supplied, free of charge, upon request.

Price Order No. 1871 (Steel Products Manufactured by Pacific Steel Ltd.)
Pursuant to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Price Tribunal hereby makes the following price order:
PRELIMINARY
- This order may be cited as Price Order No. 1871, and shall come into force on the 11th day of May 1962.
- (1) Price Order No. 1822* is hereby revoked.
(2) The revocation of the said order shall not affect the liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto committed before the coming into force of this order. - In this order:
The expression “f.o.r.” means “free on rail”, and the expression “c and f” means “cost and freight”.
APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER - This order applies with respect to the steel products manufactured by Pacific Steel Ltd. of the several kinds specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto.
FIXING MAXIMUM PRICES OF STEEL PRODUCTS TO WHICH THIS ORDER APPLIES
Manufacturer’s Prices - (1) Subject to the following provisions of this clause the maximum factory selling price that may be charged or received by Pacific Steel Ltd. for any steel products to which this order applies shall be the appropriate price fixed in the First Schedule hereto:
Provided that any such price may be increased where applicable by the appropriate extra charges referred to in the Second Schedule hereto.
(2) The maximum factory selling prices fixed by this order are subject to the following surcharges:
Sales under 2 ton but over 1 ton at the rate of £1 per ton. Sales of 1 ton and under at the rate of £2 per ton.
(3) The maximum prices as aforesaid are fixed for deliveries as follows:
(a) Within a radius of 25 miles of Otahuhu, free on truck at mill.
(b) At North Island ports of Whangarei, Napier, New Plymouth, and Wellington, and also at all South Island ports, “c and f” at any such port.
(c) For any other deliveries, “f.o.r.” Otahuhu.
