RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Sewerage Extension Loan 1961, £30,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending and adding to the Council’s existing drainage system, including the provision of pumping stations, tanks, outfalls, and other things necessary for the efficient drainage of the city, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes a special rate of one-sixteenth of a penny (¹⁄₁₆d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a properly constituted meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on the 16th day of April 1962.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Municipal Baths Loan 1962, £80,000
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the New Plymouth City Council hereby resolves:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £80,000 authorised to be raised by the New Plymouth City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of constructing a saltwater swimming pool with heat pump and filtration plant and works incidental thereto, the New Plymouth City Council hereby makes a special rate of three-sixteenths of a penny (³⁄₁₈d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the City of New Plymouth; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a properly constituted meeting of the New Plymouth City Council held on the 16th day of April 1962.

COUNTY OF STRATFORD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
——
Rural Housing Loan No. 8, 1961, £20,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Counties Act, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Stratford County Council hereby resolves that for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on the Rural Housing Loan No. 8, 1961, £20,000, to be raised by the Stratford County Council, the said County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⁵⁄₅₃ pence in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Stratford; and the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 25 years or until the loan is fully paid off.

STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
——
Stratford District Scheme Approved
PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, public notice is hereby given that the district scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 for Stratford District was approved by the Council by resolution passed at its meeting held on the 17th day of April 1962 after all objections, appeals, and arbitrations relating to the scheme had been disposed of and the scheme had been amended to give effect to all objections and appeals allowed and all amendments of the district scheme required by the Board had been incorporated.
The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come into operation on the 16th day of May 1962.
Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in the Council’s office and in every public library in the district and may be inspected, without fee, by any person who so requires at any time when these places are open to the public.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
——
Public Notification of Wanganui City District Scheme
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to a resolution of the Wanganui City Council made on the 18th day of April 1962, a district scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to the City of Wanganui. The scheme has been deposited in the Town Clerk’s and City Engineer’s Offices, St. Hill Street, and the Alexander (Wanganui) Public Library in accordance with section 22 (1) of the Act and is there open for inspection, without fee, to all persons interested therein at any time when the above places are open to the public.
Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in writing in form E prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than the 31st day of July 1962. At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the Town Clerk in writing within the period of which public notice will be given.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to regulation 32 (8) of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, that by decision dated 28 February 1962 the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board unconditionally consented to the application of Phillipps Motors Ltd. for a departure, under section 35 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, from the above district scheme.
The substance and effect of the consent is to change the zoning of land in Leach Street from “Residential” to “Industrial B”.
The full description of the said land is shown in the said application which, together with the plan mentioned therein, may be inspected, without fee, at any time during office hours at the Town Clerk’s Office, Liardet Street, New Plymouth.

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to regulation 32 (8) of the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1960, that by decision dated 19 January 1962 the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board unconditionally consented to the application of D. B. and J. I. Crowley and McKechne Brothers (New Zealand) Ltd. for a departure, under section 35 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, from the above district scheme.
The substance and effect of the consent is to change the zoning of land being Sections 16 to 18 of the Bell District from “Rural” to “Industrial D”.
The full description of the said land is shown in the said application which, together with the plan mentioned therein, may be inspected, without fee, at any time during office hours at the Town Clerk’s Office, Liardet Street, New Plymouth.
