Cancellation of the Vesting in the Thames County Council of a Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Thames of the reserve for recreation purposes described in the Schedule hereto.

Licensing Eric George Austin to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Bed of Whangarei Harbour at Tamaterau as a Site for a Jetty
Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, the Minister of Marine hereby licenses and permits Eric George Austin, of Whangarei (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of Whangarei Harbour at Tamaterau, as shown on plan marked M.D. 11206 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
- The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5), and the annual sum so payable shall be ten pounds (£10).
- The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of April 1962.

Declaring Areas to be Access Lanes for the Purposes of the Motor Launch Regulations 1958
Pursuant to the Motor Launch Regulations 1958, the Minister of Marine hereby declares that for a period of two years from the date hereof, subject to compliance with the conditions set out in the Second Schedule hereto, the areas of water firstly and secondly described in the First Schedule hereto shall be access lanes, and that within such access lanes regulations 9 and 10 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1958 shall not apply.
FIRST SCHEDULE
Firstly, all that area of water in Akaroa Harbour bounded on the sides by parallel lines 150 yd apart extending in a south-easterly direction 200 yd from the edge of the water, the southern boundary commencing approximately 130 yd north of the southern junction of the Wainui Main Road and the Wainui Cemetery Road.
Secondly, all that area of water in Children's Bay, Akaroa Harbour, bounded on the sides by parallel lines 400 yd apart extending in a 170° direction, the eastern boundary extending out 330 yd from the edge of the water in line with the point where the western bank of the creek discharging into the Bay meets high-water mark and the western boundary extending out 220 yd from the edge of the water.
SECOND SCHEDULE
The access lanes shall be marked as follows:
- Brightly painted marker buoys each 50 yd apart commencing 50 yd from high-water mark shall be suitably moored along each side of each access lane.
- At high-water mark on the foreshore at each side of each access lane in line with the marker buoys there shall be placed a notice board measuring not less than 2 ft 6 in. by 2 ft painted white with black letters.
- The aforesaid notice boards shall contain the following notice:
"NOTICE
Motor Launch Regulations 1958
Access lane through which motor launches and water skiers may pass at speeds greater than 5 miles per hour.
BATHERS KEEP OUT."

Amending Notice Relating to the Open Season for Game in Certain Acclimatisation Districts
The Minister of Internal Affairs hereby gives notice that the notice published in Gazette No. 12 of 15 February 1962, relating to the open season for game in certain acclimatisation districts, is amended as follows:

In that portion of the Second Schedule which relates to the Auckland Acclimatisation District:
(a) By altering the shooting hours from "6.30 a.m. to 6 p.m." to "6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.";
(b) By deleting the following closed game area: (62) part Section 112, Block IX, Aroha Survey District, certificate of title 812/61, containing 21 acres and 8 perches. Present occupier: D. Johnson. -
In that portion of the Second Schedule which relates to the Hawke's Bay Acclimatisation District, by adding the following closed game area:
(21) The Hawke's Bay Acclimatisation Society's Game Farm, being lots 9, 10, 11, and 12, D.P. 1639, subsection S.S. 35, Meeanee C.T. 81/198, Part, 11/114 H.B. Vol. 110, F.O. 22, and being an area of 4 acres 2 roods 31 perches; together with those parts of subsections 35, 36, 37, and 38 which fall within a radius of 200 yd of the Game Farm. -
In that portion of the Second Schedule which relates to the Mangonui-Whangaroa Acclimatisation District:
(a) By adding the following closed game area: (54) Allotment 160, Part 161, 170, Kaiaka Parish, Block VIII, Takahue Survey District, containing approximately 115 acres. Present occupier: Douglas E. Panther.
(b) By deleting the following closed game area: (23) Te Awaroa 2A and 2B 2, Block IX, Whangape Survey District. Present occupier: William McCraith.
(c) By altering the open season on Californian and Australian quail, and cock pheasants, so that the season will extend from 5 May to 1 July inst.

Time and Place of Election by Fire Insurance Companies to Fill an Extraordinary Vacancy on the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire Board
Pursuant to the provisions of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon on Thursday, 5 April 1962, as the time, and the office of the Otago and Southland Fire and Accident Underwriters Association, T. and G. Building, Princes Street, Dunedin, as the place, for the holding of a meeting of representatives of the fire insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand to elect one member on the Fire Board for the Dunedin Metropolitan Fire District.

National Roads Board—Notice Concerning the Stopping Standing, and Parking of Vehicles on Roads
It is hereby notified that pursuant to National Roads Board Bylaw 1958, No. 1,* the Board has by resolutions carried at its meetings on the respective dates mentioned in the Schedules hereto—
- Prohibited the parking of vehicles on those portions of State highway described in the First Schedule hereto;
- Prohibited the stopping of vehicles on those portions of State highway described in the Second Schedule hereto; and
- Restricted the parking of vehicles on the portion of State highway described in the Third Schedule hereto in the manner set out therein.
FIRST SCHEDULE
- (a) The western side of No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Ohaewai Section) in the Township of Awanui commencing at a point 10½ chains south of Gills Road and extending thence in a southerly direction for a distance of 10 chains; and
(b) The eastern side of No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Ohaewai Section) in the Township of Awanui commencing at a point 12 chains south of Gills Road and extending thence in a southerly direction for a distance of 2 chains. (14–16 December 1960). - The generally eastern side of No. 10 State Highway (Awanui-Pakaraka via Mangonui) in the Township of Mangonui commencing at the Grey Street intersection and extending thence in a generally southerly direction (that is, in the direction of Kawakawa) for a distance of 80 chains. (18–19 February 1960).
- (a) The eastern side of No. 1 State Highway (Pakaraka-Whangarei Section) commencing at the south-eastern corner of the main entrance to the Moerewa Freezing Works and extending thence in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 24 chains; and
