Varying a Notice Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945

Pursuant to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby varies a notice dated 28 July 1961 and published in the Gazette on 17 August 1961, at page 1271, by deleting from the Schedule thereto the words “Kawerau Borough”, and substituting therefore the name “Te Rau-tahi”.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Approval of Testing Officer Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being a testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.

Limited Speed Zone Declared

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

Situated within Waitotara County at Maxwell:

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) (from a point 8 chains measured westerly generally along the said State highway from Huxley Road to a point 8 chains measured easterly generally along the said State highway from Station Road).

Limited Speed Zone Declared

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that the road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956.*

SCHEDULE

Situated within Lower Hutt City:

Eastern Hutt Road (from the northern boundary of Lower Hutt City to a point 28 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said road from the subway leading to the Pomare Railway Station).

Declaring Land in the South Auckland Land District to be Crown Land Subject to the Land Act 1948

Pursuant to the Coal Mines Act 1925, the Minister of Mines hereby gives the following notice:

NOTICE

The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be Crown land subject to the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE

All that parcel of land containing 14 acres 3 roods 35 perches, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. S. 7514, being part of Allotment 87, Pepepe Parish, situated in Block XIV, Rangiriri Survey District, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 765, folio 52, limited as to parcels (Auckland Land Registry).
