Cancellation of the Vesting of Control of Reserves in the Minister Having the Administration of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act 1908, and Declaration That the Said Reserves Shall No Longer be Subject to the Provisions of the Said Act

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby cancels the vesting of the control in the Minister having the administration of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act 1908 of the reserves for recreation purposes described in the Schedule hereto, and further declares that the said reserves shall no longer be subject to the provisions of the last-mentioned Act.

The Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957, Amendment No. 31

PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, the Minister of Industries and Commerce hereby gives the following notice:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957, Amendment No. 31, and shall be read together with and deemed to be part of the Control of Prices (Positive List) Notice 1957* (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
  2. This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.
  3. The principal notice shall cease to apply in respect of the goods set out in the Schedule hereto.
  4. The principal notice is hereby consequentially amended by omitting from the Schedule thereto all references to the goods referred to in the Schedule hereto in respect of which, pursuant to clause 3 hereof, the principal notice no longer applies.

PURSUANT to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on and from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

Classification of Roads in Waiapu County

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955,* the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes so much of the Warrant dated the 21st day of July 1950† as relates to the roads described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby approves the Waiapu County Council's proposed classification of the said roads as set out in the said Schedule.

Counties Declared to be Areas in Which Owners of Cattle Shall Submit Their Cattle for Testing with the Tuberculin Test (Notice No. Ag. 7485)

PURSUANT to section 7 (6) of the Stock Amendment Act 1958, the Minister of Agriculture hereby declares all that area of land comprising the counties listed in the Schedule hereto for the time being constituted, and including all cities, boroughs, and town districts surrounded by or contiguous to these counties, to be areas in which each owner of cattle shall, as often as and in such manner as he may be required so to do by the Director-General of Agriculture, submit his cattle for testing with the tuberculin test for the purposes of the said section.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the Lumsden Town District (Notice No. Ag. 7483)

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purpose of the said section, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Lumsden Town Council on the 23rd day of January 1962.

SPECIAL ORDER
THE Lumsden Town Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:

Pursuant to section 3 of the First Schedule of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950,
Blackberry (Rubus fruticosus and Rubus laciniatus)
Hemlock (Conium maculatum)
Sweetbrier (Rosa eglanteria syn. Rosa rubiginosa)
are hereby declared to be noxious weeds within all parts of the Lumsden Town District.
