Formation of District Council of Tribal Executives
Pursuant to section 13 (7) of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, I hereby give notice that I have approved of the formation of a district Maori council of tribal executives for the Waiariki Maori Land Court District, to be known as the Waiariki District Maori Council of Tribal Executives. The names of the tribal executives which are members of the said council are:
Ranginui
Kaokaoroa North
Matakana
Arawa No. 2
Arawa No. 3
Rotorua Borough
Tuhoe Manawaru
Southern Tuhoe
Whakatohea
Horouta No. 2
Eastern Tuhoe
Western Tuhoe.

Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, and Consequential Revocation
Pursuant to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby declares the parts of the Hobson Tribal District described in the Schedule below to be tribal committee areas for the purposes of the Act with the respective names therein set out, and hereby revokes an earlier notice dated 19 April 1947 and published in the Gazette of 24 April 1947, Volume I, page 491, declaring parts of the Hobson Tribal District to be tribal committee areas.
SCHEDULE
Hobson Tribal District
Oturei-Mititai Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station E 2 in Block XI, Tutamoe Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly along a right line to the south-eastern corner of part Omu Block shown on D.P. 2405 (Block V, Maungaru Survey District); thence due south along a right line to the middle of the Wairoa River; thence south-easterly and easterly along a right line to Trig. Station 866 in Block XI, Maungaru Survey District, and a right line to the confluence of the Tauraroa and Mangonui Rivers in Block XVI, Maungaru Survey District; thence up the middle of the Mangonui River to a point opposite the northernmost point of Allotment 166, Omaru Parish; thence south-westerly generally to and along the south-eastern boundaries of the Okahu and Whakahara Parishes and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Wairoa River; thence up the middle of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 14, Tatarariki Parish, in Block VI, Tokatoka Survey District; thence to and along that boundary and its production to the sea coast; thence north-westerly along the sea coast to Moremonui in Block IX, Kaihu Survey District; thence north-easterly along a right line to the westernmost corner of Lot 74, D.P. 10700, in Block VII, Kaihu Survey District; thence northerly along a right line to the point of commencement.
Maunganui Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station E 2 in Block XI, Mangakahia Survey District; thence southerly along a right line to the westernmost corner of Lot 74 on a plan numbered 10700 lodged in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence south-westerly along a right line to Moremonui on the sea-coast, being a point on the boundary of the Hobson Tribal District; thence north-westerly, easterly, and southerly generally along the south-western, northern, and eastern boundaries generally of that tribal district to Trig. Station E 2, the point of commencement.
Tangiteroria Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station E 2 in Block XI, Mangakahia Survey District; thence easterly, south-easterly, and south-westerly generally along the northern, north-eastern, and south-eastern boundaries of the Hobson Tribal District to the confluence of the Tauraroa River and the Mangonui River; thence westerly along a right line to Trig. Station 866 in Block XI, Maungaru Survey District; thence north-westerly along a right line to a point in the middle of the Wairoa River due south of the south-eastern corner of part Omu Block shown on the plan numbered 2405 lodged in the office of the District Land Registrar at Auckland; thence northerly along a right line to the aforesaid south-eastern corner; thence north-westerly along a right line to Trig. Station E 2, the point of commencement.
Ripia Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Wairoa River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 14, Tatarariki Parish, in Block VI, Tokatoka Survey District; thence down the middle of the Wairoa River to a point opposite Otara Point; thence south-westerly along a right line to Otara Point, and a right line to a point on the sea coast, being the south-western corner of Block I, Te Kuri Survey District; thence north-westerly along the sea coast to the southernmost corner of the Oturei-Mititai Tribal Committee area hereinbefore described; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of that area to a point in the middle of the Wairoa River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 14 aforesaid, being the point of commencement.
Pouto Tribal Committee Area
All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Wairoa River opposite Otara Point; thence south-easterly and south-westerly generally down the middle of that river and the Kaipara Harbour to the middle of the entrance of that harbour; thence north-westerly generally to and along the sea coast to the south-western corner of Block I, Te Kuri Survey District, being a point on the boundary of the Ripia Tribal Committee area hereinbefore described; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of that area to a point in the middle of the Wairoa River opposite Otara Point, being the point of commencement.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
