INVERCARGILL CITY COUNCIL
Resolution Making Special Rate
Electricity Loan 1961, £20,000
“THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Invercargill City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of the extension of the electricity distribution system of the City of Invercargill and associated electrical works, the said Invercargill City Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought five four pence (.054d.) in the pound on the rateable value on the basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Invercargill; and that the said special rate shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 15 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Invercargill City Council held on Tuesday, 23 January 1962.

WAITEMATA COUNTY COUNCIL
Public Notice of Intention to Take Land for a Recreation Ground
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and amendments and the Counties Act 1956 and amendments.
Notice is hereby given that the Waitemata County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain work, namely, the construction and formation of a recreation ground passing through or adjoining the parcel of land referred to in the Schedule hereunder and situated in Whangaparaoa Riding of the County of Waitemata, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that plans of the land so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Clerk of the said Council situated in the Council Chambers, 199 Karangahape Road, Auckland, and are open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land must state their objection in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

Notice of Intention to Take Land for Purposes of Soil Conservation and River Control
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments and in the matter of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and its amendments.
Notice is hereby given that the Manawatu Catchment Board intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, that parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of soil conservation and river control. The plan of the said land is deposited at the public office of the Waikanae County Town Council, Waikanae, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land and to send such writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary, Manawatu Catchment Board, 541 Ruahine Street, Palmerston North.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan
PURSUANT to section 13 (2) of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Hampden taken on the 27th day of January 1962, on the proposal of the Hampden Borough Council to raise a loan of £11,000 to be known as the Hampden Water Supply Loan 1961, for the purpose of financing a water supply for the Borough of Hampden, resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 128
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 21
The number of informal votes was .. 1
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Eastern Southland Airport Loan 1961, £23,500—Part Issue, £8,500
My Council, at its ordinary meeting held on the 22nd day of January 1962, duly passed the following resolution:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on an installment loan of £8,500 authorised to be raised by the Gore Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act, the said Gore Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal one one three seven pence (.1137d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Gore; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of July and the 15th day of January in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 35 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

PATANGATA COUNTY COUNCIL
Rural Housing—Security Rate
THAT, pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Patangata County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges of a loan of £25,000 authorised to be raised by Patangata County Council under the above-mentioned Act for rural housing, the said Patangata County Council hereby makes a special rate of .0916d. in the (£) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Patangata, and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 16th day of May and the 16th day of November in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of the Patangata County Council held on the 24th day of January 1962.
