Appointment
Brian Hugh Anderson (463433) is granted a short-service commission in the Education Branch, Regular Air Force, for a period ending 8 January 1967 to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flying Officer, with seniority and effect from 9 January 1962.

Extension of Commission
Squadron Leader Harold Bert Hayward, M.B.E., (74142), is granted an extension of his commission until 17 January 1966.

Appointments
James William Murdoch, M.R.C.S.(ENG.), L.R.C.P.(LOND.), D.I.H.(ENG.) (80704), is granted a short-service commission in the Medical Branch, Regular Air Force, for a period ending 17 December 1965 to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flight Lieutenant with seniority from 18 December 1954, with effect from 18 December 1961.
John Leslie Derwentwater Radcliffe, B.SC., M.B., CH.B. (80705), is granted a short-service commission in the Medical Branch, Regular Air Force, for a period ending 7 July 1966 to be followed by 12 years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is appointed in the rank of Flying Officer (Acting Flight Lieutenant) with seniority from 8 January 1957, with effect from 8 January 1962.
Flight Lieutenant James Richard Colin Maclaurin, M.B., CH.B. (79370), to be temporary Squadron Leader, with effect from 5 January 1962.

Thomas Bruce Chapman is granted a commission in the Air Training Corps, in the rank of Pilot Officer, with seniority and effect from 4 December 1961.

Appointment of Officer to Attest the Signatures of Maoris
Pursuant to sections 222 and 464 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint:
Ronald Graham, Administration Officer, Gisborne, being an officer in the service of the Crown employed by the Department of Maori Affairs in the position set out opposite his name, as an officer authorised to attest the signatures of Maoris to instruments of alienation of Maori land and to instruments by way of security within the meaning of the Chattsels Transfer Act 1924.

Appointing a Member of the Waikato Valley Authority
Pursuant to the Waikato Valley Authority Act 1956, the Minister of Works hereby cancels:
(i) The appointment of a member of the Waikato Valley Authority representing the New Zealand Electricity Department contained in a Warrant dated the 9th day of August 1961, and published in Gazette, 17 August 1961, Volume II, page 1266; and
(ii) The appointment of a deputy for the member of the Waikato Valley Authority representing the New Zealand Electricity Department contained in a Warrant dated the 14th day of October 1957, and published in Gazette, 17 October 1957, Volume III, page 1936;
and hereby appoints:
(i) The person who is the holder for the time being of the office of District Electrical Engineer, New Zealand Electricity Department, Hamilton, to be member of the Waikato Valley Authority representing the New Zealand Electricity Department; and
(ii) The person who is the holder for the time being of the office of Assistant District Electrical Engineer, New Zealand Electricity Department, Hamilton, to be the deputy for such member.
