In the matter of the Companies Act 1955 and its amendments, and in the matter of Metzler’s Continental Sausages Ltd., a company duly incorporated and having its registered office at Auckland and carrying on business as manufacturers.

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 14th day of December 1960, presented to the said Court by August Adolph Metzler and Max Wilfred Bachmann, both of Auckland, sausage makers; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on Friday, the 24th day of February 1961, at 10 a.m.; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the said petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

The notice must state the name, address, and description of the person or, if a firm, the name, address, and description of the firm, and an address for service within 3 miles of the office of the Supreme Court at Auckland, and must be signed by the person or firm, or his or their solicitor (if any), and must be served or if posted, must be sent by post in sufficient time to reach the above-named petitioners’ address for service not later than 4 p.m. on the 23rd day of February 1961.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CEASE TO HAVE A PLACE OF BUSINESS IN NEW ZEALAND


NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 405 of the Companies Act 1955, that A. C. Nielsen Ltd., duly incorporated in Delaware, U.S.A., and having its Head Office in New Zealand, at the Evening Post Building, Willis Street, Wellington, intends to cease to have a place of business in New Zealand on the expiration of three months from the date of publication of this notice.

NOTICE OF CEASING TO CARRY ON BUSINESS IN NEW ZEALAND


AUSTRALIAN Dredging and General Works Pty. Ltd. hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 405 of the Companies Act 1955, of its intention to cease to have a place of business in New Zealand, at present at the offices of Messrs Watson and Watson, 36 Esk Street, Invercargill, to take effect on the expiration of three months from the date of first publication of this notice in the Gazette, viz, 2 February 1961.

TEMUKA BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Temuka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £34,000 authorised to be raised by the Temuka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the extension of the supply line and erection of new headworks to the Temuka Water Supply Scheme, the Temuka Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of 4¹³⁄₃₂d. (four and thirteen thirty-seconds pence) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Temuka; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

OPOTIKI BOROUGH COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Opotiki Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Opotiki Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing and extending drainage, sewerage disposal works within the Borough of Opotiki, the said Opotiki Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of point seven nine one of a penny (0·791d.) upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Opotiki; and that the special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

TAUMARUNUI COUNTY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Rural Housing Loan 1960, £40,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Taumarunui County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £40,000 authorised to be raised by the Taumarunui County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Taumarunui County Council hereby makes a special rate of DECIMAL 002477 on each pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the County of Taumarunui; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Taumarunui County Council held on the 21st day of December 1960.

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL


RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE


Paekakariki Water Loan 1960, £30,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £30,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the construction of a ¼-million-gallon reservoir and the extension and improvement of the water reticulation and house connections in Paekakariki, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes a special rate of 1·752 pence in the pound (1 and ⁷⁵²⁄₁₀₀₀ ths pence in the £1) upon the rateable unimproved value of all rateable property in the Paekakariki Riding of the County of Hutt; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at the meeting of Hutt County Council held on the 15th day of December 1960.
