Registration of School Colours and Badge

PURSUANT to the Education Act 1914 and regulations thereunder, notice is hereby given of the registration of the following school colours and badge for Lytton High School, Gisborne:

Colours—Maroon and grey

Badge—A lion fresnee reboundant Or langued and armed Gules debruised of a shield quarterly: First quarter — per bend Gules and Sable a book displayed Or. Second quarter — Azure fessewise mains gemel humet affronte, in chief and abased cubit arms gemel conjoined Or. Third quarter — Azure a base Vert a stalk of maize cinquefoil Or, dexter a sol Proper naissant in splendour. Fourth quarter — Ermine a scale standard in balance Gules; below the shield a scroll Vert with the motto “Ubi Lux Praelucet” inscribed Or.
