Pursuant to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, promotions, relinquishment of temporary rank, extensions of commissions and date of retirement, transfers, cancellation of commission, resignation, and retirements of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

REGULAR AIR FORCE

General Duties Branch

Appointment

Flight Lieutenant Sydney Arthur Williams (72253) to be temporary Squadron Leader, with effect from 1 January 1961.

Transfer

Flying Officer Norman John Atkins, B.A. (329989), is transferred from the General Duties Branch, Reserve of Air Force Officers, to the Regular Air Force for a period of three years to be followed by four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers. He is transferred in his present rank with seniority from 9 January 1959, with effect from 9 January 1961.

Cancellation of Commission

The commission of Acting Pilot Officer Anthony Geoffrey Ellis (79470) is cancelled, with effect from 19 January 1961.
