THE Liquidator of Clarks Properties Ltd. (in liquidation), which is being wound up voluntarily, doth hereby fix the 7th day of January 1962 as the day on or before which creditors of the company must prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 308 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

HARRIS Bros. Ltd., of Christchurch, hereby gives notice that, by entry in the minute book of the company made on the 15th day of December 1961, pursuant to section 362 of the Companies Act 1955, the following special resolution was passed:

"That the company be wound up voluntarily as a members' voluntary winding up and that Cyril Luton Sturge, of Christchurch, public accountant, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding up."

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Roading Loan 1961 £70,000

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manukau County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £70,000 authorised to be raised by the Manukau County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out road improvement works within the County of Manukau, the said Manukau County Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal nought four eight pence (·048d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the County of Manukau; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

I, Ronald Wood, County Clerk of the Manukau County Council, hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manukau County Council held on the 12th day of December 1961.

BOROUGH OF BALCLUTHA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Balclutha Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £16,000, portion £14,400, authorised to be raised by Balclutha Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of final stages of the erection and completion of the war memorial hall, the said Balclutha Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of decimal six three nine four pence (0·6394d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Balclutha, comprising the whole of the Borough of Balclutha; and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

MANAWATU-OROUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board Electrical Reticulation Loan (No. 9) 1961, £51,000

PURSUANT to section 45 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of fifty-one thousand pounds (£51,000) authorised to be raised by the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of further reticulation in the Board's district, the said Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board hereby makes a special rate of one-thirteenth (1/13) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board District as defined in the Proclamation appearing in the Gazette, No. 40, 16 June 1955, pages 963–964; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable on the 1st day of March in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Manawatu-Oroua Electric Power Board held at Palmerston North on the 11th day of December 1961.

BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Extension Loan (No. 16) 1961, £60,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and its amendments and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of the principal, interest, and other charges on the Board's Reticulation Extension Loan (No. 16) 1961 of £60,000 authorised to be raised by the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Bay of Islands Electric Power District and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-quarter of one penny (¼d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Bay of Islands Electric Power District; such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 14th day of December in each and every year, being a period of 20 years, or until the loan is fully repaid."
