ALEXANDRA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Loan 1961

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Alexandra Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of £10,000 authorised to be raised by the Alexandra Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for improvement to water reticulation, the said Alexandra Borough Council hereby makes a special rate of one half-penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Alexandra; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 30 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The foregoing resolution was passed at a meeting of the Alexandra Borough Council held on the 6th day of November 1961.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

In accordance with the powers vested in it by the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £630,000 authorised to be raised by the Whangarei Borough Council under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 for the purpose of providing sewage treatment works and sewerage reticulation for the Whangarei Borough, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1·66d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of 35 years, or until the loan is paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the said loan."

AKAROA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Akaroa Fire Engine Loan 1961, £1,850

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Fire Services Act 1949 and the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendments thereto, the Akaroa County Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,850 authorised to be raised by the Akaroa County Council under the provisions of the abovementioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing a Landrover fire engine and appliances, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of point two five of a penny in the pound (.25d.) on the rateable value of all the rateable property comprising the whole of the Akaroa Riding (Akaroa County Town); such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being for a period of twelve (12) years, or until the loan is wholly paid off."

OHURA TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Ohura Town Council resolves:

"That, for purpose of completing stage 2 (two) of the water scheme, a loan of £6,500 be raised. The said loan shall be for a term of 25 years with interest £5¼ per centum per annum and repayable by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term of the loan. The security proposed to be pledged for the payment of the said loan and interest thereon is an annual-recurring special rate during the currency of the loan of five pence in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Town Council area."

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed by the Ohura Town Council at a meeting held on Wednesday, the 8th day of November 1961.

WAITEMATA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, and in the matter of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments.

Notice is hereby given that the Waitemata Electric Power Board proposes, by virtue of the above-mentioned Acts and of all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, to execute a public work, to wit, the erection of a substation at Sabulite Road, Glen Eden; and for the purposes of such public work the Board requires to take the land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto as the site for such substation; and notice is hereby given that a plan of the said land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Board, Albert Street, Auckland, and is there open for inspection during ordinary office hours; and notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said piece of land, set forth the same in writing, within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Waitemata Electric Power Board at its offices situate as aforesaid.

NAPIER CITY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

Notice is hereby given that the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board has consented to specified departures from the Napier district scheme (Onekawa and Onekawa West sections) as follows:

(a) A specific departure from the provisions of the Onekawa West Section of the Napier City Council’s operative district scheme by permitting the use of the land firstly described for the purpose of a licensed hotel, meaning thereby a building in respect of which there is for the time being in force a publican’s licence issued under the Licensing Act 1908; and

(b) A specific departure from the provisions of the Onekawa Section of the Napier City Council’s operative district scheme by permitting the use of the land secondly described for the purpose of a licensed hotel, meaning thereby a building in respect of which there is for the time being in force a publican’s licence issued under the Licensing Act 1908 subject in both cases to the following conditions:

(i) 75 ft front yard required on all streets.
(ii) 30 ft of front yard adjoining all streets to be laid out in green belt as directed by the Council as a screen from residential and industrial districts.
(iii) Adequate car parking space, as directed by the Council, to be provided on the site for all clientele.
(iv) The total floor area of any storey shall not exceed 50 per cent of the site area.

SCHEDULE

(a) An area comprising 1 acre 2 roods 39 perches, more or less, being part Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 6211, part Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 8591, and a road to be closed. This property is covered by the Onekawa West Section of the applicant’s operative scheme;

(b) All that area comprising 4 acres 3 roods 31 perches, more or less, being part Section 6, Block IV, Heretaunga Survey District, part Block 121, Puketapu Crown Grant District, part Lots 3 and 4 on Deposited Plan 7382, and part road to be closed. This property is covered by the Onekawa Section of the applicant’s operative scheme. Both areas are zoned as “Light Industrial”.
