Varying an Order in Council Prohibiting all Alienations of Certain Maori Land Other Than Alienations in Favour of the Crown

PURSUANT to section 254 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order in Council made on 18 April 1932 and published in Gazette, 21 April 1932, Vol. I, page 790, prohibiting all alienations of the Maori land known as Kaitaoa-Rotohokahoka 2Q and other blocks, other than alienations in favour of the Crown, by excluding therefrom the land described in the Schedule hereto.

PURSUANT to section 5 of the Local Authorities Empowering (Aviation Encouragement) Act 1929, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Matamata Aerodrome Order 1961.

Consent is hereby given to the establishment of an aerodrome by the Piako County Council on the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in Blocks IX and XIII, Wairere Survey District, in the South Auckland Land District, comprising 115 acres 3 roods 2 perches, more or less, being part No. 1B 3, parts No. 1B (road line), part No. 2G 1, part No. 2G, 2, part No. 2H 2, part No. 1B 1, part No. 1A, and part No. 2H 1, Matamata North Block; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 133973 deposited in the office of the Ministry of Works at Wellington.

Revoking Foreshore Licence Authorising McCallum Brothers Ltd. to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Lawson’s Creek in Waitemata Harbour as a Site for a Wharf

THE RIGHT HON. KEITH HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council of the 18th day of April 1955* granting a licence to William Fraser McCallum, of Auckland, trading under the style or title of McCallum Brothers (which licence was subsequently assigned to McCallum Brothers Ltd.), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Lawson’s Creek, Waitemata Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D., 9638 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining a wharf thereon, and prescribing the dues and rates to be charged for the use of the said wharf.

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council of the 23rd day of October 1956*, prescribing dues and rates to be charged by the Mangonui County Council for the use of the Mangonui wharf, by omitting from item (9) of clause 2 of the Schedule thereto the rate of 1s. and substituting the rate of 2s.
