Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Waitomo Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that, on the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette, the land described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated 11 September 1936 and published in the Gazette, 24 September 1936, Volume III, page 1787.

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act 1949 as permanent State forest land.

Tariff Notice—Application for Withdrawal of Approval by the Minister of Customs

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made for withdrawal of the approval, by the Minister of Customs, of the undermentioned goods under item 448 (3) of the Customs Tariff of New Zealand:

Tubes, collapsible, empty, suitable for packing goods of such types as may be approved and on such conditions as may be prescribed—

Approved—
Tubes, metal, lined with pure tin and fitted with tapered nozzles, declared by a manufacturer for use by him for packaging antibiotics for veterinary purposes.

These tubes are subject to 3 per cent primage from all sources.

The application will not be dealt with until 30 November 1961 and any person wishing to submit any objection thereto should do so in writing to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, on or before 30 November 1961. Any such objection should be supported by:

(a) Information as to whether suitably equivalent goods are available or can be produced in New Zealand; and

(b) Details of landed cost and selling price, including c.d.v., and cost into store in terms of f.o.b., insurance, freight, exchange, other landing charges, and duty.
