Inspectors of Dangerous Drugs Appointed

Pursuant to the Dangerous Drugs Act 1927, the Minister of Health hereby authorises

Ralph Emerson Drayton and
Robert Ian Alister McDonald,

officers of the Department of Health, to enter the premises of any person carrying on the business of a producer, manufacturer, seller, or distributor of any dangerous drugs, and to demand the production of and to inspect any books or documents relating to dealings with any such drugs, and to inspect, weigh, measure, and record stocks of any such drugs.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver's licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of 18 years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Exemption From Warrants of Fitness

Pursuant to regulation 52 (4) of the Traffic Regulations 1956,* the Minister of Transport hereby exempts from the provisions of subclause (1) of regulation 52 of the Traffic Regulations 1956 any motor vehicle of the type specified in the Schedule hereto while used exclusively in the manner described in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE
ANY trailer owned by a shipping company or stevedoring contractor and used exclusively in connection with the embarking and disembarking of ships' passengers or for loading and unloading ships' mails, cargo, and passengers' baggage on the Auckland wharves, and used on a public highway only when proceeding unladen from one wharf to another wharf or from its usual place of storage to a wharf and in returning to that place of storage.

Approval of Testing Officers Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the person named in column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being testing officer under the said regulations for the authority specified in column 1 of the said Schedule.
